chemicals and types of metals present

In this thread I would like us to compile a list of the different types of metals and chemicals that were likely present in the WTC towers (1 & 2) prior to collapse. I am placing this request in a thread separate from the ones where I initially asked so as not to clutter up those threads with OT chatter. Hopefully this list will finally put to rest the sheer stupidity of both the thermite signature and molten metal claims of the truthers.

Here's what the USGS study of the dust concluded:

The results of analyses completed so far show a consistent picture: the samples are largely composed of gypsum, cellulose, and miscellaneous materials common in a building, with minor asbestiform minerals. However, one sample analyzed, the coating on a steel beam, indicates the presence of a significant abundance of chrysotile asbestos (as much as 20% by volume).

Oh, and unlike Dr. Jones, they didn't get their dust sample from some guy hanging out on the Brooklyn Bridge.

Analysis of the dust isn't the problem nor is it exactly what I'm looking for. See where I said prior to collapse :)

ETA - but it does serve a good purpose in showing that there were many other things present.

Ok...for example, the towers contained people (and of course a liberal supply of oxygen). No question in my mind that people contain carbon, hydrogen and nitrogen. Can I now say since there is oxygen that I found the chemical signature of RDX (C3H6N6O[SUB6][/sub] - Cyclotrimethylenetrinitramine)?

ETA - same can be said for virtually all Nitramine explosives.

As I said in the other thread, see http://www.911myths.com/html/traces_of_thermate_at_the_wtc.html which discusses elements present in the towers and contents before collapse. Section 4 identifies sources of aluminum, calcium, magnesium, sodium, sulfates, silicon, potassium, iron, titanium, carbon, molybdenum, lead, chromium, manganese and barium, so all these would be expected to be present in the debris.

So far we have the chemicals you list and the chemical contents of the human body...
Oxygen, Carbon, Hydrogen, Nitrogen, Calcium, Phosphorus, Potassium, Sulfur, Sodium, Chlorine, Magnesium, Iron, Fluorine, Zinc, Silicon, Rubidium, Strontium, Bromine, Lead, Copper, Aluminum, Cadmium, Cerium, Barium, Tin, Iodine,Titanium, Boron, Nickel, Selenium, Chromium, Manganese, Arsenic, Lithium, Cesium, Molybdenum, Mercury, etc...I think that should make my point.

So yes Dave the dust is representative but does not represent everything present.

Here is one of my favorite stupid quotes:
"I can be proven wrong," Jones said. "I accept that. But whoever does it will have to explain this molten metal to me, and especially all the barium found. That's nasty stuff that's not going to be used in a building."

Of course its not hard to find this...
"The levels of many of the elements are consistent with their presence in building materials, including chromium, magnesium, manganese, aluminum, and BARIUM."

http://www.ehponline.org/members/2002/110p703-714lioy/lioy-full.html

Here is a listing of some of the elements that Jones (etc.) thought would solidify his case regarding thermite.
Sulfur, Barium, 1,3-diphenlypropane, Zinc, Fluorine, Potassium.....
How often do they quote the substance then edit out the reason why its found like this?

Hmm...guess Barium really isn't in human bodies. Jones is the worlds biggest living abortion.

, 1,3-diphenlypropane
Isn't an element but it's a molecule and besides it being found in PVC, every one of it's components is found in human remains. Building material will only help boost the amounts. As I said, Jones is a living abortion.

Whoops yep.

Barium salts are what give some fireworks the green color.

Barium, I believe, is also present in auto paint. Dr. Jones makes a big deal that these "chips" are red. Lots of red fire trucks were crushed that day. Just an idea.

Barium oxide is used in fluorescent lamps as a coating on the electrodes that facilitates electron flow. Hmmmmmm.... I wonder if there were any of those nifty fluorescent lamps in a couple of large office buildings......... It also has uses in brick, glass, and rubber production. Coincidentally, barium peroxide can be used as a catalyst to start a aluminothermic reaction, but the other sources are way more likely. I got all of this from wikipedia.

1. Aluminum (siding)
2. Steel (columns etc...)
3. Copper (plumbing, electrical)
4. Tin (cans, plumbing)
5. Glass (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Glass)
6. Concrete
7. Gypsum (Sulfur, and other compounds)

I think most of the elements on the periodic table might be found in a debris pile as enormous and complex as GZ. Perhaps not the radioactive ones, or the ones with the real long names...lol

TAM...there are traces of Uranium in the human body.

traces, but I am not sure you would find them in the dust.

I guess if you are looking for ANY amount of any substance, ya, perhaps even some Europium.

Not to be crude, but if victims bodies combusted in the fires, hypothetically the uranium would be one of the elements found in the ash that presumably would be a component of the dust.

But, how you'd identify that minute, diminishingly tiny amount from the huge signal that other building components would give is beyond me. Calling it "trace" would be a dramatic understatement.
