You know who this lady is?

http://www.heartandsoultherapy.com/

It's my little sister's boss and my 5th floor neighbor. Not to be confused with the other Joyce Meyers. Not to stereotype but she's this New Age, Eastern woo-woo, aging hippie, New York Jewish super-liberal lesbian Sylvia Browne wannabe type that's nice enough but you can't be around for for more than 15 minutes at a time.

My sister's been apartment- and cat-sitting for her for years and once in a while I'd go up with her to play with the cat and watch TV and just cause I like to see how the other half lives.

She's an accredited pychologist and for years, I thought that was her business until I went up there sometime ago and took a look at her degrees and certificates. It plays like the episode list from Penn and Teller's first three seasons. Hypnotherapy, self-help, life coaching, every BS psycho New Age therapy on Earth from all of these weirdo institutes and schools.

As a kid, I thought those were her psychology degrees cause I never even heard of all this stuff before I stumbled onto P&T's show. It impressed me how educated she was :o .

Well, let me tell you, it's good to be a king and good to be a woo artist. I'd give a left leg for her apartment and all the good stuff she has in life. To think that all she has to do is walk around with a phone headset all day.

My first thought is you might compromise your sister's paying gig. Work is work. Since you did I could have bought into into Joyce's resume until...

I am also proficient in inner child bonding, parts retrieval, gestalt, dream work, soul integration therapies, multidimensional experiences, spirit releasement, and difficult paranormal challenges.

Woo, woo, woo, woo, woo, I'm pulling over the side of the road to let the ambulance drive by. How many people suffer from having their soul non-integrated or needing a spirit released or be dimensionally challenged? Joyce sure can help with issues many of us are inexperienced with.

Yeah, that's the first thing that occured to me, too, and so I hesitated in posting this for a while. Trust me though, Joyce isn't into skepticism, science or critical thinking so unless she frequently self-Googles...

The part about incest and therapy for sexual abuse alarmed me the most. I hope the people I see going to her place and talking on the phone with aren't sex abuse survivors and if they are that she isn't prescribing them bonding with their inner child or soul integration therapy.

It's a shame when a fully legitimate science or profession goes bad... However, I'm a little surprised she has 'survived' so to speak, considering that the wooing had it's peak in the 90's to die off slightly in recent years when the believers realized that the world did not come to an end, God did not step down to us for a chat and Elvis refused to leave whatever alien world he lives in...

Anybody know what is meant by "parts retrieval"? It conjures up all sorts of weird images to me, maybe my imagination is overflowing again, but I've never heard of this.

Is the JREF million dollar challenge considered a "difficult paranormal challenge"?
If so then I suggest you encourage her to take it.

Which can very well mean that she went to college, but not graduate school. You only need a bachelor's to be a social worker.
Not in NY State. You need a Master's in Social work and a approved internship and have to pass a licensing exam to be able to state that you're a LCSW..

You all should see this woman's apartment. She has enough diplomas to substitute for wallpaper!

Which she practically does: her hallway has one after another. As far as I can tell, only one or two are really legitimate. Now that I think about it, I wonder what her credentials for social work and psychology really are.
