ETA: The source doesn't necessarily say she was hit by a car. Just blunt force trauma to the chest. It's possible she was hit by something, or someone, who was hit by a car. I suppose there are even other scenarios that are slightly different, but, one way or another, it was the neo-Nazi dude that killed her. Not a heart attack. Not chain smoking.

I see the jury recommended 419 years plus life in prison. How the he'll do they come up with that? Do they contemplate that the guy might be like Methuselah?

Not unusual. In a number of criminal justice systems multi-generational year sentences have advantages over "life" terms if the jury wishes to make release on parole very difficult. The specific number is likely to be an addition of the separate sentencing terms available for the individual counts.

This. He was convicted of multiple crimes. He'll probably appeal, they usually do.

But with this sentence, even if many of the convictions are reversed and his sentence is reduced, it is unlikely to ever be reduced enough to get out.

The vast majority of rw commenters have no idea what happened. They fully believe the disinformation that can be seen here in the first few pages of this thread.

Most of them are probably happy to just forget about Charlottesville. The fallout from that incident has been a steady drumbeat of failure.

He's also looking at a federal trial for civil rights violations. If he gets out, he'll go to federal prison.

It all makes sense if you believe in reincarnation. We just have to hunt down the right person born after he dies and make sure he (or she) serves the remainder of the sentence, repeating if necessary.
