Charleston church shooting described as hate crime

There's no reason to assume it's a racist incident, a religious incident, or a hate incident.

It's more likely to be over something stupid, and given the look of the perp, my guess would be revenge.

These nuts often go off over something stupid, like a parking space, or getting fired, or being "wronged" in some way.

Or he could simply have been in a fight with somebody in the church, got his nose broken, and snapped.

Insane, but not as unlikely as i would wish.

I believe it's being described as a racist incident and hate crime because this is a historically black church.
Strange that he spent an hour praying with his victims before starting this.

You would think a recent fight at that church with a white/asian/hispanic dude would be the first thing mentioned to the media and police as possibly being related.

Can't vouch for it, it's from a poster relaying TV reports:

Pinckney’s cousin told WAFF-TV that the gunman specifically asked for the reverend before Bible study and sat next to him before opening fire. The cousin says survivors told her that the gunman told them, “You rape our women and you’re taking over our country. And you have to go.”

"The person who shot and killed nine people at Charleston's Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church was there for about an hour, attending a meeting with the eventual victims, before he began shooting"

OK now I tend to think insane guy wanting to get fame , like that shooter in the cinema.

Really? Ok, why in your opinion have the police and the mayor both explicitly said they think it's a hate crime?

Consider:

1. The shooter did not immediately walk in and start shooting; he was there for about an hour.
2. There are survivors.
3. Ergo, they know some things they're not saying.

I would be very wary if that dude, looking that way, asked for the preacher and wanted to sit next to him.

We have all seen the cases where the media and police info is way off.

The police don't necessarily have accurate info, and witnesses don't necessarily report events accurately. We don't even need to talk about the media.

This is nothing new.

Whereas the armchair analysis of random internet posters with few or no facts has always been right on the money.

I like how there's this attitude of "whoa, slow down, we can't speculate that this was a HATE crime on such little information" - which is followed by a whole raft of wild speculation about it being anything BUT a hate crime from the very same people!

Most terrorist in the USA are white guy (supremacist , ultra fanatic animal activist , anti federalist).

(or maybe I am missing the sarcasm ?)

That may be the case, but the media tends not to call white people terrorists.

Hope they catch this thuggish vermin quickly before he decides to take the easy way out.

Prison Planet already has the story in the context of liberals calling for disarming whites...

They have a twitter feed that proves it!
