What do great apes and dolphins have in common?
They’re second in intelligence only to humans. Craig Stanford, who is Professor of Anthropology and Biological Sciences at USC, will discuss the parallels between the great apes and dolphins and what they may tell us about the origins of human intelligence.
Stanford, who also is Director of the USC Jane Goodall Research Center, is an authority on human evolution and primate behavior, conducting research on primates in Africa, Asia and Latin America. He co-authored the book, Beautiful Minds, with Dr. Maddalena Bearzi of UCLA. Copies of his book will be available for sale and signing.
