Celebrity Nominees 2020

The current election has taught us that celebrities are potentially credible nominees.

The advantages are obvious:
- considered to be outsiders, hence not tainted by the "corrupting influence of Washington"
- assumed to be wealthy enough as not to be beholden to special interests
- guaranteed free publicity
- somewhat pre-vetted by the gutter press


Now, there are of course some drawbacks, as the last contestant of "Celebrity President" continues to demonstrate.


But who, in your opinion, might make a decent celebrity candidate for the 2020 election?

I suggest a Trump/Cosby ticket because there are still so many women that they have not molested yet.

Colbert, now that he's clear of the uber-conservative character he played. Since VP is such a laid-back job, maybe he could even coax Stewart off his farm.

I nominate Tom Lister Jr. - he was an awesome president on The Fifth Element.

Robert de Niro and Oprah Winfrey. I suspect they would dislike one another. Anyone Oprah cannot simply dominate gets punched in the face by de Niro. Unbelievable cooperation from congress. Putin hides for 4 years.

Taylor Swift won't be old enough
Bieber is Canadian.
Kiefer Sutherland suffers from the same affliction.
Bill Murray seems to be having too much fun just being Bill Murray.
Same with Tom Hanks.

So that narrowed it down to the following celebs:
Matt Damon/Ben Affleck - They can flip a coin for who gets top spot.
Rashida Jones - Went to Harvard.
Bill Belichick - Would make for interesting negotiations with Putin.

I like Chris Rock and think he should start his way up the political food chain at the local level. I'd like to see him in Congress.
