CCW holder killed reaching for ID.

Perhaps you missed the multiple times it been pointed out that the girlfriend disagrees with your statement. She says he was reaching in his pocket when, not after, he informed the cop he had a gun.

To make it very clear the girlfriend's story is:
  1. Cop asks for ID
  2. Boyfriend starts reaching in pocket for ID
  3. Boyfriend tells cop he has gun
If you want the direct quotes from the transcript of her video and paraphrases from the Guardian look back up thread.

This incident is a horrible tragedy with little documentation, we should stick to the most accurate information we can in this discussion.

That was the cop's "rationale" not mine.

This guy was pulled over because he matched a BOLO description for an armed robber and was in the same area where the robbery took place. He also had a gun resting on his thigh. The sheriff said he had never applied for a carry permit, so he was never issued one.

You call that rag a source? What utter rubbish. Come back with a decent source if you want to be taken seriously.

Ah, you're connected to that garbage white supremacist site.

That would explain a few things.

Suffice it to say, I wouldn't take anything they say at face value, given their long history of being aggressively wrong and hateful.

One thing that was made clear in another recent incident -- witnesses are not only mistaken, they sometimes flat-out lie.

Not only was that "article" stupid, it actually contradicts what the cop said. He said he asked Orlando to keep his hands still. He did not say he saw a gun.

I didn't bother looking.

First, how would they know anything that the police haven't put out?

Second, going back to Trayvon Martin alone, these guys falsely doxxed a girl they claimed to be "Dee Dee", falsely identified Travon Martin's father Tracy Martin as a crip using a photo of him and other members of a masonic lodge wearing red clothes (red being the color of the Crips' infamous rivals, the Bloods), falsely claimed that Trayvon was carrying two of the three ingredients of "lean" (he was actually carrying neither of the two main ingredients), and have regularly asserted that every black person involved, including Trayvon Martin's parents, were only in it for money.

Links to the site are purposely not provided.

Basically, they're not just snake oil salesmen, they're worthless source that's far more committed to racism than to facts.

I don't know why, but I find that guy's name particularly difficult to remember also.

Do you ever have the feeling, that some cops are just looking for an excuse to kill someone?

That "rag" had the facts on both Zimmerman and Ferguson. It ran circles around the NYT and WaPo because it actually tries to report the facts instead of covering them up.

Oh, you might want to go to that "rag" and find the link to the radio call the cop made saying he was pulling over a suspect who matched the armed robbery BOLO.

Nope. I'll wait for a credible source. Do you seriously think a gun was visible for all to see, as that "article" asserts?

What makes you so sure ? Even if the source itself is known to be unreliable, it only links to other sources.

Then link to the actual sources, without the white supremacist site as a filter.

They were even worse in their defence of Eric Casebolt McKinney LEO, who courageously tackled a 15 year old bikini clad teen.

Mentioned because my diagnosis (NB Not a qualified psych-whatever) of that gentleman was the same as for the current shooter, Jeronimo Yanez.

After a few days of thinking about it I have realised the Americans live in a completely different world to any one I would want to live in.

Being able to CCW and open carry and then the cops being probably understandably jittery.

Having to know the exact time you can talk about the CCW or twitch a shoulder when two cops are on top of you.

Not even owning a gun but assumed to by the cops.

Badly trained cops.

But it is all good. You have the 2nd ammendment

Yep, glad you brought this up. Cause while I totally recognize that racism plays some role in these shootings, this is a bigger problem. You have an increasingly paranoid population, armed to its teeth. Then, you mix in LE who have to deal with high stress on a daily basis, never knowing when some nut case is gonna start shooting at them. Isn't the result predictable...:(

Because if I am in a situation where I can be shot and killed, I want to do everything I can to prevent that and not count on the other guy not having had six cups of coffee that morning.

Why are we paying police officers to put us in situations where we should expect to be shot and killed over a broken taillight?
