Jim and Dave both like to hint around the edges without actually saying anything. Then, no matter what people assume they were trying to say, they can sit back and snicker like little boys playing with the telephone because no one could figure what they actually meant.

Hinting around the edges without actually saying much, if anything, is more entertaining. That is how Jim earns his money.

What were you guys expecting? Something serious?
 
Apaprently Callahn has apologised in a video somewhere about the Randi counterfeiting claim.
Not seen it but then he censors negative comments on his YouTUbe videos anyway.How's the career coming Jim? Not seen you on TV in a long time? The work drying up? Seeing as Criss angel is ignoring you,and Randi too it seems.

I have to say this; I've made some really direct criticisms of Jim on his videos. I have not seen them removed. Even to the extent of calling him a fraud and such. I just checked and sure enough, my comments are still there; http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ttkW56FganE

He may not communicate well, or directly, but I haven't seen him suppress comments. Do we need to mock him? He's doing just fine on his own.
 
I have deleted comments that are not suitable for children to read.

Just wanted to be clear on why I think three or four comments were taken out.

Hope this clears things up.

What is this obsession with children? You are familiar, I take it, with "the Internet"? Lots of rude words on there already, I think you'll find. And why would children give any more of a rat's bottom about you and your antics than adults do?

You are hardly the most controversial artist. You are vaguely unpleasant. A charlatan for sure in that you make up claims. Any fool can read the JREF forums for themselves to see what a liar you are.

No wonder you lost on "Phenomenon". The true 'Phenomenon' is watching you desperately grab for straws to portray Randi as an evil criminal. Yes, counterfeiting is a crime, but you forget to mention your verbal and attempted physical assault on Criss Angel is a crime also; undoubtedly of much more severity than using a photocopier.

Randi's lectures teach us lessons and make up think critically. What do your 'performances' teach us? - That you can't control your temper can't take criticism.

I have just seen your performance on the Paranormal show. James Randi has more integrity in a bead of sweat than you have in your whole body.

At least these comments have not been pulled. One of them at least was made a week ago. But then if he pulled all of the critical comments there would hardly be anything left.
 
Since this is a type of performance art designed to expose bias and lack of critical thought why would I delete posts such as these?

They are in part my proof.
By posting these people become part of the exhibit.

Note: I did send notice to one poster that his post would be deleted in three hours because of verbiage and that he could post another.

So a 'paranormalist' is a performance artist whose medium is web forums and YouTube videos, where he behaves like a jackass in an attempt to generate condemnation from others?

Where is the revenue stream and what can one who chooses this career path expect to make in an average year?

No kidding! Here I was, making a living as a programmer, doing useful, productive work for a company that pays me fairly well to do so. If I could make a living out of trolling the Web, I'd never leave the house.

Giving that he has refused to give a definition, I'm gonna bet for that one.
 
This is definitely a type of performance art designed to expose bias and lack of critical thought.

With the artist - not with the audience.

What is a Paranormalist? That's what you haven't defined and that's what we're asking you to define.


See, the fallacy you make is very simple: No one is asking you wether you're a psychic or a medium or a flying alien or any of these specifics. All of these things mentioned fall within the category of "paranormal".

If a "Paranormalist" is just an entertainer who doesn't claim to have supernatural powers, then it does not fall in the category of "Paranormal" next to Psychics, mediums and other stuff.

If a "Paranormalist" is a person who has Supernatural powers, then it does fall in the category of "Paranormal", next to psychics, mediums and other stuff.


Until you clarify which one of both you are, you're not doing anything but playing with us and moving the goalposts.
 
Whether someone tells the truth is not a matter of opinion. It is a matter of evidence.
