Who gives a **** if it happened? WHAT IS YOUR POINT? Lots of things happen. Every day things happen. So what? Do you or do you not have a point? Are you or are you not pro spending cuts? Yes or no? Do you even know if you support spending cuts? Are really not able to address the obvious?

You told me not to forget about the spending cuts (I never did). Why did you tell me that?
 
Let's have a bit of honesty Newton. No one reading thinks your point about spending cuts was not a rhetorical point. You wanted me to admit that spending cuts were important to California's success (such that it is). There's no one that believes otherwise.

Tell me this, why didn't you go out of your way to tell me to remember the tax rate increases? Why ONLY spending cuts. And if the OP specifically mentions spending cuts why the hell are you telling me not to forget them?

FTR: I never tried to gloss over anything. And, I did admit my mistake about the semantics of austerity and I apologized.

I'm not for them. But I do think Norquist is wrong in his quest to prevent all tax increases. His position gives the GOP and the Democrats very little to haggle over and we get nothing done as a result. Comprise requires both sides getting a little bit of what they want.
