Story
I first heard about this while it was going on. I tried in vain to get any decent information, but Katie Curic and her friends were too busy trying to stick it to the Bush administration to be bothered with the story.
Finally I got a link with more information.
The lead character in this story, Marvin, apparently got screwed over by a city zoning and was hit with some fines. I get the feeling the fines were in retaliation for Marvin's refusal to comply with the regs? The thing is, Marvin sealed himself inside the bulldozer before his rampage. Marvin was "breaking even", he was going to pay back those S.O.B.'s and then kill himself. When the story broke, I had a feeling it would end like this, it just had that "Lone Rider of the Apocalypse" feeling to it.
The story makes him out to be kind of nuts and a sore loser because he didn't get his way. I have a feeling there's more to the story than that.
