Well, yes, I am at fault for not realizing the word "cowardly" would be taken personally.

I have to acknowledge that the people of Israel and of Palestine both have to handle a lot more fear than we do. We seem obsessed with it here.

You know who's afraid and cowardly in relation to this topic?

The brother is cowardly for butchering his sister to avoid criticism for her being raped, instead of behaving as a brother should and protecting her from harm. The society are cowards for being so terrified of female sexuality that they punish victims of rape as if they were monsters instead of protecting them from the real monsters. Her mother is a coward for letting her son butcher her daughter and failing in her duties as a parent.

And you know who was afraid? I bet that little girl was afraid. I bet she was terrified, as her own mother and brother dragged her into a barn and cut her open. I sincerely hope you never, ever have to feel even a fraction of the mind boggling terror she must have endured.
