A century ago the United Kingdom ruled the islands of Britain and Ireland in their totality, and its rulers referred to that polity as "England". Soon only England will be left to them, but they will call it the "United Kingdom".

I would argue that a fair proportion of people who voted brexit are actually being 'subsidised' by remainers.
