The Italian Government has payed ANYTHING to those bandits.

The ransom issue was, i don't know why, enphatized firstly by the french yesterday and then the usual left-wing BBC (and CNN) have reported it. But not the fact it was denied.

Regarding Gustavo Selva, tonight it was reported by adnkronos a very strong declaration he has made regarding the french media he was speaking with. According to Mr Selva, the french media have cut some important part of his sentences, giving a very different version of his tought. Selva has confirmed that anyway even if a ransom was payed, he was surely one of the last people who could know that.

"I've never said i knew it was payed a ransom", attacks Mr Selva, "the truth is that when the french tv shows my interview beginning with '..payed a ransom' they have cut the real sense of the words i said previously 'i don't belive, i don't know if it was..', continues Mr Selva.
"I'm a journalist, but this it was a really bad example of bad information", has closed Mr Selva.

He would have been saying a very strangly constructed sentance if that claim is true.

You still have to deal with the other sources and Berlusconi's relutance to deny that a ransome was paid.

As i've already said and the non 'retarded' know, in Italy the 80% of the media are AGAINST Berlusconi and the Center Right.

Read well how the things have been reported by the Interior Minister and you will (probably) understand something.

Do you belive that in a such affair an MP would be informed?

And anyway there are some key moments that are clear enough to explain the affair, because the bandits that have held the two Simonas arent't the same who have held the other Italians, the Americans and the Britt.

The strong national unity in this affair was very important and more important is the role that the Arab moderat countries, the Italian Red Cross, the Italian and the US secret services have had to explain that the two Simonas were simply aid workers.

The official statment in which it was made clear that anything it was payed was made by the Foreign Minister Franco Frattini, that has remarked that Italy has always rejected the requests made to pull out our troops from Iraq and he also reminded that it was not possible to pay for a moral reason: other 2 Italians were killed by the kidnappers and we couldn't use 2 ways, it shouldn't be fair for who was killed.

È un discorso che non voglio sia toccato perché è un attentato alla vita di 25 persone che stanno curando 300 persone al giorno, oltre che alla mia persona». In precedenza il commissario della Croce Rossa è stato ascoltato in Procura fino alle 4.45 del mattino. Anche il ministro degli Esteri, Franco Frattini, esclude categoricamente che ci sia stato un passaggio di mano di denaro: «assolutamente non è stato pagato alcun riscatto» ha detto al giornale radio Rai.
