At a guess I would suggest that Boston don't have a bloodhound. They're not much use as police dogs apart from their ability to track specific scents. The dogs shown on the news were almost all German Shepherd or similar breeds which track the freshest scent without needing to be primed with that of the suspect and can also be used to take down a suspect in a high risk situation or foot pursuit.

From what I can tell from looking at the Boston PD facebook page all of their dogs are either German Sherpherd or similar or retrievers. Probably the retrievers are gun and drug dogs or rescue dogs because the breed lacks the aggression needed to be a general purpose dog.

Depending on where they were K-9 units could have been deployed in minutes, someone on foot in an area he didn't know and possibly injured could not have gotten too far. IIRC the weather was clear, it wasn't raining and early spring in New England should not have been especially hot or cold. How far was he found from the car?

They could have been, but even under optimal circumstances they can lose a track. And if someone gets in a car and drives 200 yards away they lose the track, it's gone.

I thoroughly debunk the theory that there was Craft operatives there.(and I feel as idiotic as you saying 'Çraft operative', because Craft does not have operatives. They offer training to LEO and military, they do not contract out security services)

As I've written about on my blog before conspiracy theorists seem to be very detached from reality and use Hollywood as their reference for an awful lot. They are the type that would declare a doctor to not be a doctor because he/she isn't shocking a flatline like they always do in TV shows.

I'm amused/appalled by the commentators who say that this is not how somebody with their legs blown off acts. Based on all their years of experience with traumatic amputations, of course.

I had a quick look at what this site represents and it seems they are well into conspiracy theories and even holocaust denial. I think without some better "evidence" than they are posting I will believe what I can see with my own eyes from the wealth of evidence presented online. Thank you very much!

The Homeland Security Secretary replied that the Saudi in question had not been on a watch list prior to the bombings and was never really a person of interest in the case.

“Because he was being interviewed, he was at that point put on a watch list,” Napolitano added. “And then when it was quickly determined he had nothing to do with the bombing, the watch listing status was removed.”
