You can explain it away all you want, it certainly is news (top story on SPIEGEL right now). The father is quoted as saying the FBI told the sons that they "know what you read, what you drink, what you eat, where you go" and that is certainly true for any person of interest given the surveillance possibilities these days. Of course, being brothers living together there was some clandestine element build in, but any serious planing, any online contacts and any buying of bomb material etc would have been extremely risky and should now be reconstructable. We'll see how that develops.

It's quite amazing how you seem determined to point fingers and lay blame at the door of everyone but the two guys who built the bombs and planted them...

The father who lives in another country on the other side of the planet? Parents who's kids live in their house usually don't *really* know what their kids are up to, but a dad who lives on the other side of the world surely must because he says so.

After all, most people falsely accused of a bombing would start firing guns at the police and throw IEDs at them. It would be silly to think it wasn't some kind of setup. Who here doesn't have some spare explosives and gun arsenal AND a suicide vest in preparation for being framed?

The parents only recently moved back to the Russian Federation and are talking about the time when they were living together with their sons, years before all of this happened. As to your "sarcastic" second paragraph, read the article I've linked for some context you might also be unaware of.

I'm sorry, but it's my defect of having a brain that prevents me from being gullible from accepting baseless conspiracy claimed made by a blogger simply because he quoted news sources about things that in no way support those baseless claims the blogger is essentially making up.

While I can see that some people might fall for this kind of cheap tactic, having a brain prevents me from being able to do so.

But I so do love when truthers and end-of-worlders start giving specific dates because you get to ask them fun questions when those dates come and go with nothing happening. And Glenn beck did claim to present truth, just ask his gold investors.
 
People who shoot at cops and throw homemade hand-grenades at them, tend to be guilty of something.
