Merged Boston Marathon CTs

Liar. Your original post read:

The aunt from Canada was on local TV - very resolute. She demands evidence in no uncertain terms. "Show me where he drops that backpack". Obviously a conspiracy theorist.

No, I'm not. I decided to change my post before submitting because it seemed over the top. I must have hit submit by accident before I had a chance to replace the content, so I edited the comment out, submitted the replacement post and labeled the original a duplicate. I thought that was appropriate, but if it wasn't than it's my mistake.

Meanwhile, I thought you might take a week off from posting bone-headed CT crap in this case. Guess not.

Jones brags that his visitor numbers doubled over this ... and that might be less exaggerated as usual if you ask Alexa.

I have no doubt that his numbers doubled. Funny thing to me is what he was concerned about...His website traffic.

I read it as a single post that didn't read "Classy", quite the contrary, and thanks to my awesome browser I was able to go back and rescue the original after I read what followed. You could have edited the first one and replaced the text, that would have looked more honest. But yes, it was appropriate to remove it, and no, I didn't report it.

Well, website traffic is closely related to influence, so bragging about it doesn't say anything about if his motives are "money" or "awakening the sheeple" or "spreading disinfo". I personally have given up trying to figure that out. But regardless of the motive he profits from this, that's for sure.

Usually, it would be best to ignore conspiracy-mongers such as Alex Jones and not reward him and his angry gaggle of paranoiac followers with any sort of attention. But, in a week when thoughts of the dead and maimed victims of the Boston Marathon bombings weigh heavy on the hearts and minds of most Americans, it is worth pointing out what a worthless waste of skin and bones Jones and his minions happen to be.

Unless you're David Horsey, this should be a quote with this link.

There are people outside watching the police surround the home. So much for that "everyone stay indoors" order. You're talking to the most stubborn city in the world.

You're more than welcome to come to Boston though and spew your lies. I invite you.

Buy you a beer while we wait?

You know, it occurs to me that if this were in NYC or practically any other metropolitan area in the country, this guy probably would've been caught by now.

The way the GBA is laid out has definitely helped him evade capture.

John King is an idiot and should be fired. His continued employment is the real conspiracy here. Just as the most recent example: "Dark skin?" Really? That describes roughly 7/8ths of the world's population. More, if we assume the benchmark for dark skin is 'darker skin than John King'.

I bet he has photos of Wolf Blitzer in a compromising position. Discuss!

Also: They're talking about how the older of the two suspects felt detached and had no friends in America. More tellingly, he wanted to keep his shirt on in photographs to avoid giving women the wrong idea and how people these days have no control.

And his response is to cling violently to his religion and his guns. Of course, the other people who do that are Christian, which is totally different from Muslim!

A funny thing, how the far right Christians hate Islam so much that they deny Muslims who would be their allies in their imaginary culture wars any real space at the table. Most of the stuff the elder Tsarnaev said wouldn't look at all out of the ordinary in a far-right extreme Christian setting.

Of course, not all far-right, biblical-literalist, Christian Fundamentalists are the same, and most of them aren't violent. Of course, neither are all increasingly religious Islamic Fundamentalists are the same, and most of them aren't violent. But in the United States, pretty much alone among western nations, the Christian Fundamentalists hold the brief on the culture wars.

Violence is even more likely when you feel there is legitimately no voice for your feelings in mainstream society, when those same feelings expressed by Christians are put on cable news and discussed on the senate floor.

Since I have no intention of engaging with you by PM I'll just use this post for a response. Yes I mixed up your snide 'apparently' with a snide 'allegedly' mea culpa.

I'm an atheist, so see all religion as superstitious garbage.
It's been revealed the suspects are Muslim- think the far right Christians will use this tragedy as another excuse to cite their belief that their Christian cult as being superior to the Muslim cult? So far no signs that these killings were motivated by religion, but I wonder if we are headed that way

You don't go off with that lukewarm excuse for your dishonesty. Not without the PM you didn't answer ending this derail.

Childlike Empress PM to Garrison said:
Why are you lying, Garrison? I didn't write about "alleged victims", I wrote about "apparent tragedy" and was talking about the immediate moment those two guys started the thread, when the news broke and they couldn't know what exactly happened. I explained that to you. So why the attempts to vilify me?

John King might wish he was fired now that he has become a favorite target of Jon Stewart. Stewart's ripping apart of CNN coverage of the Boston Bombings on his Wenesday show was just epic...and King was singled out for his idiocy.
"Hey King, you know that the FBI just told you to drink a big hot steaming cup of STFU?'
Stewart at his best.
