The winner for round 5 was David Horman, correctly identifying the Tweenies book.

I did one round (round 4 I think) but my name isn't on the score sheet - I picked the wrong book anyway. Do we have to register or something, before we can play?

Poor Darat has been plodding along and trying over and over, and has yet to get one hit! Keep at it. You only have to get one in the next three rounds to equal chance!

I'm thinking of introducing some negative stimulus. Darat, if you don't score a hit next time, 250 volts will be sent through your mouse button. Focus, dammit!

Round 14 is over. I had a load of entries from what appeared to be the same person using multiple identities (same IP address). One of them was a hit, but the challenge will be for the person to use the same identity and to repeat the feat! I have decided to include them on the off-chance that it was a bunch of girl friends using the same computer at a sleepover (it's all girls names).

I'm also considering having a clearout of the results. Quite a few people have had one attempt, never to return. I may start filtering out the inactive participants.

Round 15 is going to be a long one, since I'm on holiday. Take your time now!
 
Whoa! I go away for a few days and Daenris goes and gets a second hit. That's two out of three. The guy's smoking!

Of course, this is still well within the bounds of probability, but cause for a small celebration in the Daenris household, I'm sure.

Back to the normal 48 hour rounds now. Round 16 ends Saturday.

A way to tell a failure from a successful 'psi miss' would be a good start.

I think I'm starting to like the electric shock therapy...

Quite seriously I am trying to do this the way the cold-readers seem to say they do it. e.g. Empty my mind (well that's the easy bit) and then just "see" what sensations come to mind, red, black, doctors, computers what ever then pick the book I think best matches those impressions.

With the level of success I'm having I'm beginning to think that as well as being a p-zombie I also totally lack any psi power. :(

Perhaps this explains why Ersby’s cold-reading seems indistinguishable from "professional" mediums - he really does have psychic powers but is just in denial!

I have knocked up a new automatic script which will take most of the donkey-work out of updating the results page, so hopefully no one should get points that don't belong to them! (How's that for tempting fate?)

Rambling Onwards scored a hit in the round. Daenris and Ersby are still our current leaders.
