Merged BNP faces bankruptcy, Griffin could lose seat

Please, please, please, let him emigrate to find work. The irony would be wonderful.

We are the hollow men
We are the stuffed men..

..Shape without form, shade without colour,
Paralysed force, gesture without motion;..

..This is the way the world ends
This is the way the world ends
This is the way the world ends
Not with a bang but a whimper.

Let's hope they die without notice, so as to rob them the mainstream they have long craved.

First political party killed by a food spread?

This is not just a yeast extract, this is Marmite yeast extract....

I'd rather see him voted out but pending an election, this'll do.

I suppose in a sense it is a form of democracy - he can't find enough people to support him and pay his way.

ETA: Standard membership costs £30 - so he only needs 25,000 new members to be out of the woods. How hard can that be ;)

I see that the fighting fund isn't exactly full to the brim. And an interesting choice of picture they've got there, considering that the EHRC legal issue they're hoping to fight is that they can't have an "All white" membership policy, so I'm really not sure why their graphic looks like that. Unless it's to remind their members what they're fighting against.

I've searched the internet and think this the first time in political history that a yeast-based spread has caused the collapse of a political party.

I looked to see if Vegemite had - it has not

All hail the mighty Marmite !!!

I knew it had to be good for something, it sure as hell can't be for eating ;)

I have a friend in Brussels, and she tells me the following tale (though admits it may be an urban legend):
apparently Nick Griffin went into one of the Irish pubs around here and everyone else drinking in there put down their pints and walked out. The bar staff then refused to serve him and asked him to leave, he got all arsey, they stuck to their guns and he left and everyone else went back in. Hearing that restored my faith in humanity.

Why is Trevor Phillips campaigning for the BNP?

I very much doubt he gave them permission to use his image on their website!

They have no artistic sensitivity whatsoever. I know it is supposed to remind us that 'this is the enemy' but instead it just looks like 'Trevor is asking you to save the BNP!".

I also like how they deem that 'equality and human rights' is something to fight against.

Isn't it reassuring that while anti-immigrant parties are surging throughout Europe, the UK's own version degrades? It was all downhill from the Question Time appearance, vindicating the BBC's decision.
