Bizzare Political Carttons

I find most of them amusing and pointed. More pointed than amusing but most political cartoons are.

I especially like the one poking fun at NBC's NASCAR Jihad. Haven't heard anything about that since.

This guy's political cartoons are bizzare. It's not just that he's way to the Right, it's that he plays fast and loose with the facts. His cartoon about the Spanish language anthem is not only completely off the mark, it's grossly insulting. A chorus of people in sombreros, singing about frijoles and burritos? For the last time, we're not all Mexicans.

Depends on when the cartoon was produced. Iraq is not the only place troops are fighting Al Quaida and there were plenty of peace marches prior to and during Afghanistan.

If this is pre Iraq-War debate that's true. If it isn't, it's being dishonest, by not making it clear which war this protester is addressing.

The captions in the toon indicate that the "grunts" are marching off to war against AQ.

The text below states

On top of that, the date on the cartoon shows March 23, 2003. Well after the start of Afghanistan.

And on the other-other hand, the lead soldier refers to the Beirut Barracks attacks which most believe was Hezbollah. That means, at least to me, the soldiers are on their way to fight Islamic terrorists in general - not Al Quaida specifically. Unless someone wants to suggest that the Beirut attack was Al Quaida.

So was Saddam a 'terrist?

With his links to Al Quaida and his harboring of Abu Nidal and his payments to Palestinian terrorist families for suicide bombings, his use of weapons of mass destruction, I'd say sure, he qualified as a terrorist. Any one of those would qualify him I think.
He also qualified as a vicious dictator as well, fully deserving of being forcibly toppled and placed into his current situation. Additionally, he qualified as a militarily aggressive menace to his neighbors by unilaterally invading other countries and violating cease fire agreements. That's a bit off topic though.

How are you drawing that conclusion? Is there some accompanying text that I am missing?

See above. the cartoon refers to the war in Iraq. Saddam had noting to do with any attacks by Al Quaida but the soldiers are presenting those as a reason to invade Iraq.
