Merged Bitcoin - Part 3

it would make me happy if you were to undertake the herculean task of quoting things accurately. with your long history of disregarding and arguing against sources without reading them, i think that's fair. now if we could get you to stop making personal attacks and address arguments consistently that would be another step in the direction of making any kind of discussion with you enjoyable. but that's probably way beyond where you're willing to go.

can you name another source of cash flow bitcoin has that isn't new investment?

No, I don't intend to. This has been discussed countless times before and the argument has always been "bitcoin is uniquely different to all other objects of speculation". There is never any proof of this, only special pleading.

don’t intend to because you can’t think of one, unique in that the only cash flows in are new investment. which makes your objection to boris johnsons claim a bit puzzling.

anyway, thanks for the quick and painless concession

. . . unique in that the only cash flows in are new investment . . .
Your usual style. Wait until a page or two has passed then repeat the same BS as if it is something new that has never been answered before.

If bitcoin really had no use whatsoever (apart from speculation) then it would have gone the way of the tulip years ago. Can you remember why this isn't the case or do I have to spell it out yet again?

speaking of usual styles, that's not the question that was asked.

i don't really care what you do or don't do. i posted an article relevant to the topic, you're the one getting worked up lol

LOL I dare to point out that Boris Johnson is not a credible source and 2 pages later, you are still attacking me over it. Chill!

it's been your only comment on the article besides personal attacks and you angrily refusing to answer any questions.

jamie dimon calls bitcoin a decentralized ponzi scheme in congress testimony
Fancy that! You found somebody else on the internet who called bitcoin a ponzi scheme. 😲

Of course, (assuming that they aren't simply looking for a bad word to describe bitcoin) these "experts" err by assuming that only speculators would buy bitcoin. However, some people buy things (legal or illegal) with bitcoin which means that they have to buy bitcoins first (for non-speculative purposes).

This means that bitcoin has a use and therefore, it is no different to any other object of speculation.

it was the ceo of jp morgan in testimony to congress fyi

but in fairness to you the video of him saying it did appear on the internet where i found it

getting facts right does matter and you didn't really rebut it, you made the same error here as you did when you misquoted boris johnson and it doesn't really address the argument at all.

Oh. So your argument isn't that bitcoin is "unique in that the only cash flows in are new investment". Got it.

no you don't got it, that's not the argument. that was just a question i asked to try and get you to address the argument being made. which you never answered anyway so why even bring it up lol

you should be kinder to yourself than that. a little self respect goes a long way

lol

you don’t engage with the topic or read or watch any sources provided and claim to have won. you don’t understand the arguments being made and refuse to learn enough to properly address them and get angry when i don’t agree you won the debate. and you’re often rude and dismissive while doing it.

i don’t even know why you bother at all. it’s pathetic. and then you continue to insult me.

doesn’t bother me either. i could make fun of you forever, it will never get old.

i’m such a nice ◊◊◊◊◊◊◊ guy that i’ll help you bolster your case too.

"Bitcoin is not a Ponzi scheme," Saylor wrote on X. "A Ponzi requires a central operator promising returns and paying early investors with funds from later ones."

He added that Bitcoin has "no issuer, no promoter and no guaranteed return — just an open, decentralized monetary network driven by code and market demand."

michael saylor, guy responsible for the dot com bubble burst due to fraud and currently running a ponzi scheme in strategy, says the same things you’re saying. so you’re in good company there pal

new ben mckenzie film released its trailer

Another clip shows the actor testifying in front of the U.S. Senate Committee on Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs in December 2022 — during which he called the cryptocurrency industry the "largest Ponzi scheme in history."

somebody better email this guy and tell him he’s wrong before this hits theaters
