Merged Bitcoin - Part 3

idk you’ve put your foot in your mouth constantly in this thread. pretty ballsy to call someone else’s posts dumb.
Pot - kettle.

i don’t assume anything
:dl:

i’ve posted countless links and evidence to this thread to back up my claims.
No you haven't. You have either posted links to opinion pieces that align with your own "bitcoin is the devil" POV or articles that are about something other than bitcoin.

oh so it’s true they can manipulate the price. strong that their influence is often exaggerated. Not a great opening blow to my point.
ftfy.

tether has never been audited, for one and two i’ve posted a lot of evidence to the contrary.
False. You have posted links about tether failures but never one that shows exactly how tether manipulation affects bitcoin prices.

didn’t you just tell me how dumb that is?
No. I have never said that price manipulation never occurs. OTOH you claim (without evidence) it always occurs.

The difference is that unlike you, I post links to articles that don't push a particular barrow. The City University of New York has published a balanced research article. Just to show that I am not saying that all is rosy with bitcoin, it is worth quoting their conclusion:
Bitcoin price manipulation is a reality that cannot be ignored in the cryptocurrency market. While some myths surrounding price manipulation have been debunked, instances of manipulation have occurred. Regulatory efforts and safeguards are being implemented to combat manipulation and protect investors. By staying informed, conducting due diligence, and employing risk mitigation strategies, investors can navigate the Bitcoin market with greater confidence.

lol it looks to me like you didn't read your link and now you're trying to backpedal.

i mean, i don't really care, i'm used to this kind of ridiculousness by now. it's amusing.

like, can you imagine a guy gets all mad saying where's the evidence for bitcoin pump and dumps and posts an article mentioning the dangers of bitcoin pump and dumps lol

you can't make it up

Not everybody is that dishonest. If I wanted to prove that price manipulation can't occur then I would never have linked to the article.

Your problem is that the article is not biased enough for your liking so, as usual, you attack the poster instead.

oh i think you’re being pretty dishonest. anyone can scroll up and see that.

anyway you called my point dumb and then posted an article that confirmed everything i said and now, well idk what you’re trying to do here. this is really weird lol

Sure. Anybody who reaches as far back as post #4759 will know that I was referring to your dumb analogy that bitcoin is like a "fixed casino". Naturally you had to change that to a claim that price manipulation was impossible.

That article never referred to a "fixed casino".

boris johnson correctly says bitcoin operates similarly to a ponzi scheme due to its need for new investors to pay old. michael saylor, who is operating a literal ponzi scheme in strategy disagrees.

If Jack the ripper said that bitcoin was a ponzi scheme I guess you would be a fan of his too.

did boris johnson kill any prostitutes i’m not aware of?
What do you care as long as he is being negative about bitcoin?

But seriously, Boris Johnson is a failed PM who implemented the ill advised "brexit". You would have to be really desperate to quote him as an authority on anything - let alone bitcoin.

you're always trying to make this about me lol

i guess you’re done attacking the arguer and attempting to attack the argument. unfortunately that wasn’t the claim.
