Merged Bitcoin - Part 3

So you admit that blockchain was developed specifically to implement 'digital cash', not for any other purpose. And this was supposed to replace traditional payment methods using fiat currency, which is why the white paper calls it 'cash'.
As usual, you have attempted to weave a whole cloth out of a piece of straw. Nowhere in his white paper did Nakamoto suggest that his technology would "replace" traditional currencies/banking.

psion thinks $200m scams are boring and not worth talking about. can't resist looking at them and doing an emoji to let everyone know how above caring about giant scams that steal millions of dollars from people like him he is though.

anyway, i disagree. i think they are worth talking about.

They aren't. Scams of all kinds are so common place that nobody needs a reminder that they exist. So much telephone/email traffic I receive comes from scammers that I have made it a policy not to answer a phone call or read an email unless I know its source.

If you posted possible solutions to these scammers then it would be more interesting. And don't think that banning cryptos is an answer.

my solution is to inform people of the dangers of being scammed by crypto so they choose not to use crypto

from the guy who thinks if you can't stop all scams you shouldn't talk about crypto scams in the crypto thread, the laughing dog. probably, and consistently, among his best contributions to the thread.

Your false dichotomy almost warrants another laughing dog.

cz, pardon purchasing money launderer and former ceo of binance which is one of the biggest crypto exchanges on the planet, says block chain transparency is holding crypto back from mass adoption as a currency. nobody wants their entire financial history available publicly.

well, except crypto exchanges. they conduct most of their transactions off chain.

"(Lack of) Privacy may be the missing link for crypto payments adoption," he said.

He used the example of a company that pays employees in crypto on-chain. “With the current state of crypto, you can pretty much see how much everyone in the company is paid (by clicking the from address)," CZ wrote.

Is he dreaming of a crypto currency where nothing can be traced? Like what we used to call “cash”?

26:50 patrick boyle explains the bitcoin juggalo theory
There is no such thing as "the bitcoin juggalo theory". This is just a crude attempt to label anybody who would buy bitcoin for any reason a "cult fanatic" by making false comparisons between bitcoin and juggalo coin.

Juggalo coin was created in 2014 specifically for "juggalos" (fans of Insane Clown Posse - aka "The Family").

There is no such thing as "the bitcoin juggalo theory".
Of course there is. By explaining it, Patrick Boyle ensures that it exists. Whether it is true or not is another matter. It certainly is true that the only way to make money on BTC is to persuade somebody else to pay more money for your BTC than you paid the person who scammed you with it.
