Bitcoin - Part 2

It got to 8271 then 9050 so I am claiming a win before the doubting Toms weigh in. :)

Sure. I can say “I expect a rally” or “I expect a drop” at any point and then just wait a bit. I will be right at some point. At 1:39 CST it is at $8650.01 on Coinbase. I expect a drop. I’ll chime back in when I’m right.

Turing. The machine easily runs a winning strategy if ratio in the money/out of the money is greater than one.

8:53pm. I claim a victory at $8415.54.

I now predict a rally, using my algorithm. I’ll come back to claim victory.

This looks like the big one south!
At last.

8208 and disappearing...

This is not a prediction, just a fond wish.

Yesterday I met another young man who bought early last year. He sold some to get out his initial stake but is now regretting not selling at the peak. He said he will hold for a few years to see what happens. This is one of a number of people I have met who have done this.

One of the HODLers? Preventing the rush for the exit?

It seems this is what is different to other bubbles. People who got in early and sold a portion to recover their initial stake. Cautious greater fools. They are all holding to see what is going to happen.

There may have only been a few very foolish greater fools who sold everything in December to buy in.

But ALL bubbles have one thing in common - they pop!

And all things eventually die or collapse.

But the guy who incorrectly preached doomsday was coming for over a decade but eventually sees it come to pass...

Were they right or just a really bad psychic?

And the cycle starts again except that the prices are higher and there is a new wave of naysayers who think that they are about to post something that has never be posted on these threads before.

And you reckon that a bubble keeps cycling and achieving new highs? :boggled:

They ALL pop and speculative high are never seen again. In the past Bitcoin still had mystique and large pool of speculators. That is past. People are not going to rush in again.

The cycles you talk about are gone. They were never a "pop" - just a temporary setback. The true peak has been reached and the price will continue to decline, albeit with some attempts at recovery as the players manipulate.

Let us compare apples with apples.

People speculate in various ways. Bubbles happen but they die when it becomes apparent they are hype with no value. Mostly they happen in a short time span - a matter of years. Bitcoin took a while before the con artists saw the potential and began to hype it. The complexity means the burst or decline may take a while but I doubt it will last longer than a year.

The Universe has not yet died or collapsed so your initial statement is wrong. That is not to say it cannot or will not happen given enough time.

And the believers will say that God is another exception for another thread.

That's what they said of the previous peak. And the one before that. And the one before the one before that. And etc.

You are so unoriginal that you are boring.
