"In a stunning development one day after the release of Where's the Birth Certificate? The Case that Barack Obama is not Eligible to be President, by Dr. Jerome Corsi, World Net Daily Editor and Chief Executive Officer Joseph Farah has announced plans to recall and pulp the entire 200,000 first printing run of the book, as well as announcing an offer to refund the purchase price to anyone who has already bought either a hard copy or electronic download of the book.
In an exclusive interview, a reflective Farah, who wrote the book's foreword and also published Corsi's earlier best-selling work, Unfit for Command: Swift Boat Veterans Speak out Against John Kerry and Capricorn One: NASA, JFK, and the Great "Moon Landing" Cover-Up, said that after much serious reflection, he could not go forward with the project. "I believe with all my heart that Barack Obama is destroying this country, and I will continue to stand against his administration at every turn, but in light of recent events, this book has become problematic, and contains what I now believe to be factual inaccuracies," he said this morning. "I cannot in good conscience publish it and expect anyone to believe it."

Ohhhhh, a collector's item!:boxedin:

Joseph Farahs stock just went up.

Kudos to him for acknowledging evidence and making the right call (even if his evidentiary standards were unnecessarily high).

"An article on Esquire magazine’s website, claiming that the publisher of Jerome Corsi’s new book about President Obama’s birth certificate is pulling it from bookstores, may have been written as a parody, but not everyone is laughing. The Esquire story, written by Mark Warren, spread across the Internet moments after being posted on the magazine’s website Wednesday morning. Esquire has said it was a joke and Warren told TheDC he has no regrets about posting it.
“He is an execrable piece of ****,” Warren said of Corsi."

Darn, I just bought 20 copies!

That Amazon figure is interesting. Perhaps the title of Corsi's next book should be Why we'll never find Bin Laden. :)

The comments on Amazon for this book are "interesting."

Birtherism is a disease truth cannot cure.

I think it's more accurate to state that rabid idealogical mindsets are a disease that cannot be cured by truth. These people only hold to these ideas, despite massive evidence to the contrary, out of blind loyalty to their ideological beliefs. It's not something unique to birthers by any means. There are people on both sides of the political isle who subscribe to ridiculous theories and refuse to hear otherwise, all because it doesn't fit into their ideological world view.

These people are just being mindlessly loyal to what they perceive to be the correct right wing position. And I agree, they are mostly stupid.

WND's Joseph Farah May Sue Esquire Over Birther Parody.

"Obviously if it was intended as a parody, it was not very well executed, and quite honestly I can tell you that I believe there's some very real damage done by this article, and I'm exploring our legal options right now," Farah said. "I think there are potentially some issues like restraint of trade and possibly libel, I think most people looked at that article and believed I actually said those words, that is a real problem for Esquire."

Farah also said he no longer believes the title of Corsi's book, Where's the Birth Certificate?: The Case that Barack Obama is not Eligible to be President, is unfortunate because he's "100 percent certain" that the long form birth certificate released by Obama a few weeks ago is a "fraudulent, bogus document."

"We feel like Woodward and Bernstein in the early days of Watergate when nobody was reporting the story, and finally the New York Times came along," Farah said.

What a pretentious idiot.

Corsi's like herpes; you can't get rid of him. I debated him on the radio a number of years back on the North American Union nonsense and he's as nasty as you can imagine when you challenge him on his BS. Former JREF member Boloboffin and I put a good hurt on his last book (the Obamanation) when we collaborated on this YouTube video, which exposed Corsi's flirtation with 9-11 Troof:

Actually Bolo did all the work, I just had the audio in my archives. :D

How on Earth could you stretch that to be a 392 pages long book? Lots of pictures?

The author has full access to World Net Daily. An almost unlimited supply of bad ideas, faulty logic and incorrect facts for padding out this kind of book.

But even so....

Chapter 1: This is what a birth certificate looks like (p 1-2)
Chapter 2: This is what "birth certificate" means (p 3-5)
Chapter 3: This is what it says in the constitution about having to be a natural-born American in order to be president (p 6-10)
Chapters 4-19: Here is a carefully compiled and meticulously researched list of all the occasions on which Obama has appeared in public and refused to bring his birth certificate (p 11-340)
Afterword: Death to Obama! Long live Tengil, our liberator! (p 341-385)
Index (p. 386-392)

I guess I just can't imagine the amount of padding that is needed to get a full book out of this kind of idea. But then again, I think the same thing about a lot of books published during the 2000s.

I simply hate people who think we're interested in their reasons for hating other people. Douchebags like Corsi are trying to get rich by banking other peoples hate, pure and simple. Frauds like these need to be shipped to China and traded for some of their "dissidents." They contribute nothing to society, waste money, time, airwaves and oxygen all to grind their axe. They are resource-draining charlatans.

Awesome. Good Job!

ETA: When did Boloboffin go?

Corsi must have gotten a lot of flack from his fellow wingnuts over his flirtation with 9/11 truth on the Alex Jones show.

Here's a brief video of Corsi throwing the 9/11 truth movement under the bus and embracing the 9/11 Commission report findings.
