Bin Laden Dead Truthers Mourn

Short answer: Yes, easily. Since US technology can't seem to locate the millions of illegals working right inside the US right now, I'm going to bet that someone outside the US with an understanding of US technology and methods can hide probably indefinitely. All it takes is greatly over-inflated ideas of the magic fabulousness of US technology.

Lets not forget Ted Kacynski - An active terrorist inside the US for 17 years, never detected by any intelligence service

As usual, Truthers waste no time pretending to be experts in all kinds of fields, even those they know jack all about. Dunning-Kruger strikes again! [/RWVA Rifle Instructor]

I'm able to find their comments somewhat endearing because I imagine them saying what they say in a cluelessly smug, Barney Fife voice:

"See, now Andy, if I had been one them Seals, I would've shot the gun right out of that bad apple Bin Laden's hand. Then to celebrate I would've taken Thelma Lou to the pictures in Mount Pilate. Yuuuup, that's what I would've done. (sniff)"

ETA: I'm sorry. On reflection that's not at all fair.

To Barney, that is. He knew much more experience with guns than your average Truther.

Our top Special Ops team, with night vision goggles, that could hit a dime from far away, could not hit his gun hand?
Probably they could shoot down the barrel of Bin Laden's gun, rendering it harmless.

I mean really what do you say to the above?
I miss the gold ole days of Craig, Aldo, Turbofan, and others I have thankfully forgotten.
Its nice to check into the 911 twilight zone forum and see NOTHING HAS CHANGED.

How about Joaquín "el Chapo" GuzmánWP. Probably the most powerful crime boss in the world and most wanted man in the Western Hemisphere. Named on the Forbes lists of richest and most powerful people in the world due to his drug empire. Might be responsible for more murders than Osama.

Yet he has been on the run for over ten years after escaping prison. And this is in a country bordering the USA not all the way around the world. He has certainly many Mexican officials in his pocket. But since American technology is so magical that it can find anyone, they should have caught him. Let me guess, he is actually importing cocaine into the USA on behalf of the US Government.

Having spent almost 25 years in the U.S. Army, first as 11B (Infantry) then as 18B (Special Forces Light Weapons Specialist) I can attest to the chaotic nature of any assault, let alone an assault on a built up area.

I think there is a good chance the operator who shot OBL didn't even know it was him. He most likely saw a target, who was probably behind cover, shooting at him or his team mates through his NODs. Trained reflexes took over and he accurately returned fire.

Until I can see (if ever) an AAR, this is what I will believe what happened.

Just like bullseying womp rats in my T-16 back home. :)

Ding, dong, Bin Laden is dead!

But there's a moron more moronic than OBL: Elias Davidson. He considers that Obama ordered to murder Bin Laden, therefore UBL's assassination is a crime and Obama should be judged in an international court.

HA! And he collapsed right into his own footprints.

When in the history of the world has Osama Bin Laden ever been killed by bullets??

..and he wasn't even hit by a plane!

But surely those trained reflexes would allow them to shoot down the barrel of Osama's gun. ;)

In Truthermakespeace's world the Bourne Supremacy is real.

"There are not many things I know to be absolutely true, but one of them is that violence begets violence. I suppose bin Laden's death proves the point. I and my fellow members of September 11th Families for Peaceful Tomorrows want the perpetrators of the 9/11 attacks brought to justice, but we believe justice is achieved in the courtroom, not on the battlefield.

I do not seek revenge, but rather justice – and these are two very different things. Bin Laden's death doesn't change the fact that my husband is dead. ...

Maybe Osama ought not have hidden like a coward behind his wife and tried to shoot at those who came to arrest him.

I never quite understood the difference between justice and revenge.

You're in good company on this thread!

Maybe Osama ought not have hidden like a coward behind his wife and tried to shoot at those who came to arrest him.

How do you know this actually happened?

What evidence do you have that people came to "arrest him"?

What is the relevance of your comment to Andrea LeBlanc's article and sentiment?

Even Jason would look at that and go "Okay, are you serious?" What TMP is describing seems more like Shoot Em' Up.

I remember the issue of lethal force and self defense came up at least once... It's kind of hard to capture someone when they are fighting back with absolutely no intention of being caught... and even moreso when you're trying to prevent casualties on your end.

I know if somebody were shooting at me and I had the ability to shoot back and defend myself rather than let them make me into Swiss Cheese, I'd do it, and worry about whether to take the guy to court after I incapacitate...
