Bill Clinton made $75 million from speeches

Go figure a man who grew up poor, got an education ran a country for 8 years without a financial breakdown now gets paid more than a rich boy whos father was president before and had connections to get ahead. Hillary could of kept her earnings seperate from Bills.

Does he really? $75 million over 10 years and $15 million over 2 years seems pretty similar to me...

Add "and link spammed to every right-wing crackpot site on the web" and you've described every post BaC has ever made.

Gosh, Luke, for someone with only 170 odd posts to his name, you sure think you know a lot about "every post" I've "ever made".

Now if you want to actually debate me regarding any of the scandals in that list I posted earlier, I'll be ready and waiting.

But somehow I think you'll be just as fact shy and unwilling to do that as the rest of the Clinton groupies who have flocked to this thread. :D

WHOA! Whoa! Wait a minute! I thought we were talking about speaking fees and how much money he's made just by talking to people! Whoa! What just happened! All of a sudden it's 1998 again! How did this happen?

Hey, what can I say?

The article quoted Hillary recently lying about her life in 1998.

Am I supposed to just ignore that?

Especially when her lying is emblematic of the very reason people who idolize the Clintons and hand them millions of dollars are ... well ... fools? :)

You can't even keep your own BS straight anymore. From your OP

But in that OP, I didn't say anything about theories regarding Foster's death.

That's a topic that eeyore1954 decided to introduce to the thread ... and then dropped like a hot potato when I responded. :D

Nice work, if you can get it.

When Letterman had first moved to CBS, former President Jimmy Carter was his guest. Letterman asked him about the million dollar speaking engagements that some of the former presidents had been getting.

He said something like, he hasn't had any yet, but to let him know if any come around.

If people are willing to pay that much to hear a person speak...who cares?

Talking about being fact shy... :D

Also I don't want to blow your little mind or anything but you realise it's possible to read posts on message boards without posting? Thank god you're sitting down already or you may have hurt yourself! :D

Indeed. Ronald Reagan got paid a million for two speeches he made in Japan shortly after his presidency ended. I never understood the criticism of how others spend their money as long as it isn't for something illegal.

Like I said in the beginning, it's says something about the people willing to pay that much ... if the person has the sort of past Clinton does.

You mean most economically-successful President in the last 40 years?

Or perhaps you mean the guy who saw to it that the Millennium Bombing was foiled?

Or maybe you mean the guy who came from a dirt-poor upbringing to become a Governor and then a President?

But, most likely you mean the one guy in the last couple decades who would have won a third term had that been a legal option.

Or...the guy that left office with the highest end-of-office approval rating of any U.S. president since World War II?

Well. . if it's irrelevant to your claim that Bill Clinton's earning $75 million in speaker fees over 15 years is disgusting, yes. Yes, you should ignore what is relevant in the context of trying to defend your claim.

Are you saying that Bill's earnings are disgusting because of what you perceive to be Hillary lying about herself?

I'm not interested in checking out the claim about Hillary, but I know you have a habit of crying "liar" when there is no lying. Sort of like the boy who cried wolf. You've lost the benefit of the doubt, and since this is irrelevant to your present claim, yes, we should all ignore it.

That's only because he finally got smart and went along with republicans and THEIR agenda.

And because the liberal mainstream media worked hard to make folks forget all that was learned during the impeachment about Bill.

And because Clintonphiles seem to have very short memories.

But it's not. Like I said, it's emblematic of the way the Clintons lied their way into office, and then lied their way out of jail.

The Clintons are a matched set.

You want to know why they haven't divorced?

Because a spouse can't be forced to testify against another spouse.

I'm not interested in checking out the claim about Hillary, but I know you have a habit of crying "liar" when there is no lying.

Stick you head in the ground, JTJ.

Afterall, that is what you democrats have been doing for nearly 2 decades now.

:D

I still get a kick how, in BAC's world, you either believe Clinton had all kinds of Commie Socialist sellout deals with China and secretly murdered his staffers and cabinet members left and right, or you just love love love Clinton so much you totally want to marry him...with absolutely zero middle ground between those two choices.

If people are willing to pay that much to hear him speak, so what? Do you whine about Brady or Manning getting paid to play a game?

So ANTPogo ... are you admitting that you idolize the Clintons and/or gave money to their Foundation?

Because if not, why would you think I was talking about you on this thread?
