Bigger than Sheen !!!

And Ault Swim plays PeeWee's Playhouse late night's now.
A couple of years ago on vacation, the TV in our room had the Cartoon Network, and I came across Futurama so started watching that. Then the "adult swim" thing started playing, and it really confused me. Sort of like "Yahoo Serious Festival," I knew what the words "adult" and "swim" meant, but had no idea what message they conveyed together.

Then a couple of weeks ago at home we started getting that channel, and it finally hit me - maybe there are swimming pools that set aside a time when the kids have to get out, and that time is referred to as "adult swim"? Is this right?

So, David Lynch is the big celebrity? Isn't he a big filmmaker for those who pretend they "understand" his movies? I only got a headache from Lost Highway.

Not sure if he will help the Twoofers much though...

To see David Lynch in action, get the new DVD of Eraserhead. Watch the movie if you want (brutal, dark, moments of sheer brilliant imagery), but the Stories featurette has David Lynch recounting the making of Eraserhead.

Let's just say this: it's no surprise that David Lynch believes what he does about 9/11.

The game is up (once again)!!!

Rumor has it that A Well Known Celeb May Go Public About 911 Tomorrow, On Alex Jones ...

Who???

It's still a big mystery, but this celebrity is bigger than Sheen !! (Is this at all possible?)

Possible candidates are:
Mel Gibson
Gary Busey
Robert De Niro
Brandon Boyd
Brad (with or without Angelina)
Kevin Costner
Will Smith
Tim Robbins
Susan Sarandon
Barbra Streisand

sleepy2k16 has worked out the strategy:

Go to the mattresses, everyone !!! :boxedin:
OK, gang, who can tell Sheen from Shinola???:D

Well, here's another non-story heading for page 2.

In related breaking news, (tip of the hat to Al Sleet), "The forecast for tonight is .... Dark. With increasing darkness through the evening, and gradually lightening at dawn".

David Lynch????? Jeez, they're posting over there asking who he is.

Bigger than Sheen? AJ's so drunk on his own stupidity that he'd actually compare the identity quotient of Lynch to Sheen?

I guess David's like DA.... he knows where his audience is and these guys can all go out and buy the whole Twin Peaks set and find conspiracies everywhere. Lynch had great moments, but he should've been a second unit director for someone like Fellini. He never puts anything back together.

Not really, I didn't know who he was!   I had to wiki him. The younger audience may not be very familiar with him.

David Lynch

He's a film director. Blue Velvet is one of his best films and presumably one of the greatest modern American films ever made.
J

Never heard of him.... but the film is "one of the best..." and "presumably one of the greatest".... Why? Well because it said so on the internet.

I have to admit, I was actually intrigued for a few moments. Until I scrolled to today's posts and discovered it is David Lynch.

Lynch just finally released a movie he shot last year "guerilla filmmaking" style, "Inland Empire". My ex-roommate has a small role in it. He was barely able to finish it and it took over a year to distribute. So, yeah, definitely bigger than Sheen.

I'm surprised it wasn't Richard Linklater. He's put Alex Jones in 2 of his movies.

There are woo doctors, woo lawyers, woo politicians, woo pilots, even woo engineers...so why not a woo film director...

Old news...back to sleep we go...

Busey is already woo.

Malibu... can do that to ya!

It also doesn't help that he (a) left a portion of his brain scattered along the curb and/or (b) did his best to coke out what was left:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gary_Busey
On December 4, 1988, Busey was severely injured in a motorcycle accident in which he was not wearing a helmet. His skull was fractured and doctors feared he suffered permanent brain damage.

Busey had been a heavy drug user and in 1995 almost died from a cocaine overdose. Only prompt medical attention saved his life; he narrowly escaped going to jail.

Lynch is a good director, but his style is not to everybody's taste. When he's not purposely being surreal and strange, he can put together a very good film (See: "The Straight Story"). In my opinion, "Mulholland Drive" was fantastic (once I figured out what was going on). "Lost Highway" on the other hand, was a gigantic mess.

Lynch has always been a bit... uh, eccentric. When "Lost Highway" was panned by Siskel & Ebert, he actually used their "Two Thumbs Down" to promote the film (i.e. the film was so "good" that even the critics hated it.) The "Mulholland Drive" DVD has no chapters (wierd) and in the 'Director's Profile' section it says little about Lynch, but mentions that he is an Eagle Scout. Bizarre.

With that said...

His opinions about 9/11 are as valid as any other Troothers. In other words, who cares?

Watch Penn &Tellers BS, on 12 stepping. Busey shows what's left, it ain't much!
Funny as FCUK though...

This will be a boost for the number of nut cases to help LC guys feel better about being real nut cases themselves.

David Lynch nut case for 9/11; hope LC is happy. Dylan has gone nuts early unlike David Lynch. Old man meets young man; two nuts, David Lynch , and Dylan Avery. Are Dylan's initials correct or what!? DA.

So now the truthers can use David Lynch as a sort of spokesperson for them.

I still think Mulholland Dr. is an enjoyable and trippy film. However, I now have no respect for Lynch.

How soon till the twoofers, start coming out with interpretations of Dune?
I can't wait...

If I remember correctly, when Sheen spoke about 9/11, wasn't there some website that was setup congratulating Sheen for questioning the events of 9/11?

Im suprised no one has thought that maybe this is the big hollywood remake of LC:FC director? Could this be the big kahoona behind the big movie? Perhaps dylan and co are getting him to do their movie!

Otherwise my opinion? I like some of his stuff but anyone who believes this nonsense is a fool

I agree, that is a big possibility. If not directing it, than likely in an executive producer type of role...

And maybe that Russo character would be involved too?

In a way, I hope they do this Hollywood movie. It will reveal just how whacked out the entire Twoof Movement really is. It'll reflect bady upon everyone involved...
