I can also right-click and drag, which swaps the color scheme.

But when a blogger or website chooses this pattern they are going out of their way to be annoying, so there is no sense in accomodating them.
 
I realize it's a joke. But let's be good Christians about this and torture heretics instead.

When I first encountered this phenomenon I wrote to tell website managers it hurt my eyes and gave links to articles discussing the medical effect to see what their response would be. They said that they heard that complaint a lot, so that's all I need to know about these kinds of people.

Admittedly they are trying to create this spooky or night-time atmosphere, but I'm out in the woods at night a lot, and it doesn't hurt my eyes. I feel the same way about that asinine 'footer habit of waving the camera around to pretend there is dramatic action: it just pisses me off.
 
The latest rumor has Ketchum's DNA paper being published at the end of February; the previous rumor was the end of March/beginning of April, but I guess they realized that sounded too "Fool-ish." smh.....

Yes, I read that today as well. Bigfoot Evidence has been printing much of what Robert Lindsay has to say. It does appear that Lindsay may actually be going off the rails. He is getting more strident and has left no wiggle room in his belief system. It should be interesting when, after he is completely painted into a corner, what reaction he will have to what has to be a complete circle jerk with all the bigfoot is human dna nonsense.
 
Every paper I have published let me know when it was coming out and the only prohibition was on submitting it somewhere else for publication. You were free to give seminars or talk about where it was being published - and geez, our departments had working paper series so you or your colleagues could get copies of stuff people were working on before they were even submitted for publication.

So the secrecy is just proof it is B.S.
 
ABP- correct. Facts are, that real scientists talk about their work and their data openly. Dr. Hawks at UW Madison tweets and blogs his ongoing work, he travels to discuss it, and even promotes more openness regarding data and results.

Seriously, this "BigCat" article from Britain is quite informative and predictive of the response of the Bigfoot cult to the finding of human DNA. And the Bigfoot phenomenon is about the cult, not about Bigfoot. No cat DNA was found, only fox.

David Armstrong, head ranger for the National Trust in Gloucestershire, said: "The story of the investigation of the dead deer has really sparked local curiosity with a lot of people coming out to Woodchester Park to explore.

"People love a mystery like this and although we haven't found a wild cat, many of our visitors clearly believe there might be something interesting living quietly hidden in Woodchester."

Rick Minter, a big cat researcher in Gloucestershire, said he still believed something could be out there, despite what the tests had revealed.

However, he said the latest research had been a "valuable input to this exercise".

"The strong media interest suggests an appetite to look into this subject further, and recent community surveys in Gloucestershire have indicated a strong desire for big cat evidence to be researched carefully," said Mr Minter.
'Out there somewhere'

Woodchester Parish councillor Paul Syrett, said he was disappointed with the results but still convinced big cats exist in the area.

"I think the community around here is convinced something is going on," he said.
"Too many references, too many pictures, too many people seeing this animal - I'll just wait to see the next piece of proof," he said.

Josh Ford-Loveday, 30, from Stroud, also continues to believe: "I'm under no illusion that they are out there somewhere, it is just unfortunate that it wasn't a big cat that killed those deer."

Negative evidence often results in no diminution of commitment, and often evokes an even stronger commitment to the myth. In the case of the bigfoot cult, negative evidence (human DNA) is being perceived as positive evidence. I predicted this, but it still amazes me.

I have often referenced the oldie but goodie book, When Prophecy Fails, by Leon Festinger. In that famous case, a religious cult was convinced that the end of the world was coming, but that believers could be saved by a spaceship at a particular time and place. Somehow, the space ship didn't get the memo, but, fortunately, the world didn't come to an end, either. What happened to the cult? many of the believers remained committed.

There are several predictable consequences of the "bigfoot is human" movement, prompted by The Melba's truly pioneering finding of human DNA. (I have just learned the title of the paper: How I Found Modern Human DNA, Called it Bigfoot's, Made a Million Bucks and Found my Dream Guy.)

In the first place, as the prior popular description of Bigfoot's behavior/intelligence is not in keeping with the characteristics of modern human, we will see certain old reports dusted off, and new reports appearing, of Bigfoot exhibiting the use of tools and fire, along with an increase in the reports of language use. Bigfoots will now be blamed, not just for wood knocks and stealing the occasional sandwich, but for all the lost iPhones, car keys, and homework, and for imprudent tweets and Facebook posts. Discarded or lost clothing found in the woods, on playgrounds or in motels will be attributed to bigfoot, as will those little piles of cigarette butts found in the street at stop signs. Reports of bigfoot shelters will begin to increase, and apartment managers will add "free body waxing" to their advertising signs.

Secondly, of course, there will be subtle changes in the reported physical appearance, including the facial features described in Paulides' books. Bobo himself will be forced to give a sample for analysis, and schoolyard taunts will evolve from homophobic epithets to squatchy talk. Arizona will pass laws mandating that law enforcement officers obtain samples from all persons over 6 feet tall with any visible hair/and or detectable B.O., and anyone who "looks back." Jeff Meldrum will quit his job at ISU and launch a German shepherd security firm "SniffaSquatch." and ...and....oh wait, I think perhaps I'm slipping into fantasy. Jeff will never give up the coeds.

The hype never matches the evidence, and this is getting to be hilarious. Do bigfooters really think this is going to be some big press release and that scientist everywhere will be forced to accept sasquatch as a new species? One would think that after this much time and hype that some might have caught onto the game. Makes ya wonder just how much Ketchum has pocketed from these benefactors and their support for these "tests" that are going to end up being meaningless to anyone but footers.

I'm still amazed that people are willing to accept "bigfoot is human" DNA results or that no one has figured out if that was the case (as has been allegedly leaked) law enforcement wouldve been all over Smeja and his steak. Sometimes I wonder how gullible the cult of bigfoot really is, and how much of it is play along with a wink and a nod. The main players "get it" but most of the followers do not.
