Those of you on the JREF forum who asked me why all cameras picked up orbs, but only some humans do, have been proven wrong. A few weeks ago, I went on a ghost hunt with my local group. I brought my camcorder and two other people brought theirs too. The thing is, my camcorder didn't pick up any orbs, but our leader's camcorder picked up so many orbs that near the end, you could see one per minute. And some of them were so big that they were the size of our heads and also seemed to twinkle or pulsate!!!!!!!!!!! A lot of those big twinkling ones flew over me and my best friend's head many times. It was amazing. I have never seen a video like that, not even on national paranormal shows. This tape may be the first and most convincing of its kind. I ought to send it to some national ghost hunting or paranormal organizations to help get expore. It may find itself on TV someday, with me on it too! Any suggestions on where to send it to? How do you submit it to the sci-fi channel or fox?

By the way, the leader of our group whose camera picked up so many orbs during the two hour tape, told me that she thinks her camera might be more attuned to orbs than mine, since she has said many prayers around it, and because it is a more high powered one than mine too. She said this lightheartedly though, not like she was declaring gospel truth though.

Anyway, just some things to consider. I am still stoked about the size and frequency of the orbs on this tape! I wish I could show it to you all. I could make still images of it, but it would still be nowhere as impressive as seeing it on video.

How is a simple claim that a camera picked up some orbs "irrefutable!" when you can't provide the images?

For that matter, even if you could, it still would not be "irrefutable!" proof of anything, orbs can be produced in any number of ways.
 
Do you want someone study it it’s validity or do you want someone to blindly believe your video is legit?
 
I suggest you call your lawyer, have him submit this post to JREF and demand the million.
 
Winston, you ARE a gullible nitwit, aren't you!

1. You did not say that anyone actually saw any orbs by eye.

2. Only one camcorder picked up the orbs, and all the others did not.

3. It managed to pick up the orbs "near the end"...near the end of WHAT? The end of the search? The end of the tape? The end of the batteries?

4. The camcorder has been "prayed over"...and the others haven't? Perhaps you guys might have been just the slightest little bit "Scientific" and "prayed" over the other cameras too?

5. Or perhaps your leader's camera has something treely ruly special about it? Like...its tape-head is in need of a clean, perhaps? Or its lens needed brushing of dust? How about a good quality new, clean tape that hasn't been used multiple times?


Really, Winston, you are SUCH a willing sheep...

Sometimes I wonder if Winston isn't someone playing the same game as Xx--Rational--xX in reverse.
 
Then I think about it more and realize that if he is, then he seems to be playing it with every waking hour of his life.

That speculation has been suggested numerous times, but the evidence is against it. W. Wu all over the internet spouting the same laughably ludicrous kind of thing. If he is a skeptic in troll's clothing, he is extraordinarily dedicated to this practical joke. IMO, he is, sadly, very truly dedicated to his beliefs. I would love to be wrong about this, because it would be a great howler to have him finally "come out" as a straw man to all the places he has spammed. Almost as much fun as when they revealed the home-made "Bigfoot" shoes.
 
Winston has been at this for some years. If you read his own biography you will see a history of this sort of obsessive behaviour.

As I understand it (and psychologists will no doubt correct me), schizophrenia is the name for a distorted view of reality unrelated to actuality (and not multiple personalities!). This may manifest itself in both invention and belief in nonexistent phenomena and also denial of existing reality. I can only imagine it like being permanently on LSD. The thing about schizophrenia is that the sufferer manifestly believes that what they are experiencing is definitely real, all other people's protestations to the contrary. Which I think is very much what we are seeing happening here with Winston...

So perhaps Winston is more to be pitied than censured. And maybe he is in need of help...
 
Congratulations Winston, you've shown that orbs are created by cameras and not ghosts.

Seems pretty conclusive.

1) Nobody saw the orbs

2) None of the other cameras captured them

That pretty much says that somebody's camera is either poor quality or malfunctioning, especially the part about how it "might be more attuned to orbs than mine".

You didn't post the models of cameras used or the quality/newness of the tape.

Interesting how you instantly think "tuned camera" and I instantly think "crappy camera". I guess it's all that professional photography training.

Now if you do everything possible to eliminate the known causes of orbs and they still appear (on multiple cameras), well then you might have something.

Unfortunately, in virtually every case ghost hunters do everything they can to create "orbs" with their cameras. But then, they aren't recording ghosts... they're misusing the equipment!

A little premature to claim this is "irrefutable".

What you are seeing is dust straying too close to the camera.

If your camera or camcorder is wobbling, or it has a lengthy framerate/shutterspeed, then sometimes those orbs may look like rods, zigzags, etc.

I've been thinking. Suppose there really are some "orbs" that aren't just OOF dust motes?

Why is it supposed that the "orbs" are ghosts?

They don't fit any of the traditional descriptions of ghosts. You know, moaning, rattling chains, that stuff. :D

Thanks for the image. I will be sending people to this thread to show how photography works and how dust, tiny insects, or water droplets can appear as orbs on both still cameras and video cameras.

I tend to agree that with Winston's friends he has no real need of enemies. I'll be nicer.

There's a lot of bad stigma that goes along with having stuff like schizophrenia. ;) Only a nut would admit to having it. :p

Normally when you think of something you did, it has already happened. Suppose you have the 'already happened' memory but never the actual doing of it. Voilà!

So perhaps not like a chemically induced illusion.

Something to check with Winston is if the tape actually exists in the sense we understand 'exists'.

If you can show a video of orbs flying completely around you - that is, in front of and in back of you - then all serious skeptics here will sit up and take notice. Is that what you have on video, Winston?
 
What a coincidence! I too have come across irrefutable evidence regarding orbs. I was browsing the pictures here http://www.whitesharktrust.org/assistant/gallery/2004b/apr04e.html and when I got near the bottom of the page, there were pictures not only of orbs, but orbs swimming with a shark! These orbs must be the souls of those poor people eaten by this shark. This is IRREFUTABLE PROOF that orbs DO EXIST and that they really are ghosts! Also, since some of the pictures contain many orbs, and since there are not that many shark attacks on people by any given shark, this proves that at least some of the other animals eaten by the shark have souls that can remain behind as ghost orbs.
 
Oh yeah, well...I've got a video of real ghosts that actually look like people, flying around me, which 1) proves the existence of ghosts once and for all, and 2) puts Winston's pathetic orb drivel to shame. It is absolute, irrefutable scientific evidence that ghosts are real, and it will change our views about the universe forever! No, nobody besides me is allowed to see it.
