Just for the record, he's 19 soon to be 20. Does that still count as a kid?
Judging by his actions, I'd say he is very much a kid.

That's great but it's a sample size of 3.
But according to one study, 40% of white men and 50% of black men get arrested by the age of 23...young people, especially men, do a lot of dumb things.

I haven't read any of the articles on this but I saw a headline that bail was set at $2500.
Why bother setting bail at all? I thought the point of bail was incentive to show up in court, do they really think $2500 is incentive to someone who drives a $200,000 car?
Thing is, he's a twig. He's pretending to be Steve Austin when in reality he's Steve Urkel.
And hopefully his adult career will be something worthy, such as construction, or anything he might actually have some talent at. Hey, he can pay for his own college tuition now - The money he dropped with his one night at the strip club could have paid for his first year at an Ivy League School!!!At this stage, he's just being a jerk, like most kids his age go through jerkville.
He'll grow out of it. And maybe have an adult career when he's thoroughly destroyed his kid-friendly image.
As for jail time, the drag racing certainly warrants it. As I heard it (on the way into work; the radio show I listen to was giddy over his arrest) some of his friends shut down streets so they could do it, which is pretty illegal. The problem is, I don't see this doing any good. The kid's a wanna-be gangster, and sending him to jail will only feed the delusion. Community service would be just as bad--it's publicity, and wanna-bes feed off that.
I remember years ago a music reviewer described Britney Spears as "The luckiest karaoke singer in the world", I think of this every time Justin Bieber is in the news, or any time I see him try to sing....
When I read that he was drag racing, I wondered if RuPaul won.
Everyone starts somewhere.Re: Lohan
I don't see anything so destructive. He is just a "bad boy" in his own mind.
A bigger incentive to show is that being a Canadian, he risks deportation if he doesn't show. If he flees the country, is that such a bad thing?

He's white.
