Biden for President?

False accusations against one's opponents' supporters is a bad behavior itself... one which has been uniquely characteristic of a few of the crazier examples of Biden's chess pigeons. I guess that's the kind of desperation move you need to resort to when you're "supporting" somebody that even you can't think of a single actual reason to support.

There are good reasons to support him. He has experience and can quickly get in there and start fixing the mess. And he'll have plenty of excellent people to fill all the positions Trump gutted.

The sour grapes so many Bernie Bros are still displaying is almost humorous. In the 2016 primaries, my first choice was Hillary, but once Obama got the nomination, I was fully behind him. I guess my "I'm gonna take my ball and go home" pettiness just didn't kick in.

You voted Obama in 2016 instead of Clinton? Thanks for letting Trump win!

Not sure if it's been mentioned here already and I missed it.

Tara Reade, the woman accusing Biden of sexual assault, has made a police report to that effect. If she is lying, it is now a prosecutable crime, so that speaks a bit to her commitment to the accusation.

Probably an accusation that should have been more vigorously vetted during the primary, but wasn't. I'm sure we'll be hearing more about as the general election heats up.

The hypocrisy of the democratic party non-response to these allegations, especially compared to the very different response to the Kavanaugh accusations, is quite stunning.

Reading that article, I can certainly see why there isn't much response to the allegations. Her story is disputed by others, has changed over time, and is still inconsistent. Her anonymous friend is at least speaking to others, but we don't know the details or which elements or even version of the story the friend confirms. Her brother has only responded by text, rather than speaking with anyone else.

It appears that news agencies are doing their best to vet this accusation, as they did with the Kavanaugh accusations, but Reade is not making it easy on them.

It's alleged that Trump has victimized far more women, and even a child or two.

Like I said before, the DNC is really going to lean hard into the "lesser evil" rationale for getting out the vote for Joe.

Yes, you are correct. Trump has many more accusations of sex crimes than Joe. Of the two candidates, Joe's rape accusers are less numerous and possibly less credible. When "no rape" is not an option, I suppose less rape is the best choice.

So, and believe me or not I don't care but this is an honest question I really do want an answer to, what is the solution supposed to be exactly when none of the candidates who actually have a chance at winning are "good enough?"

You settle for what you can get, just like in romance.

I believe this is incorrect.

On Thursday, Ms. Reade filed a report with the Washington, D.C., police, saying she was the victim of a sexual assault in 1993; the public incident report, provided to The Times by Ms. Reade and the police, does not mention Mr. Biden by name, but she said the complaint was about him

If refusing to name him in the police report isn't a giant red flag.....¯\_(ツ)_/¯
