Biden for President?

Because he's a public figure in his 70s and has never shown any evidence of being a womanizer, a groper, anything.

Everyone is not guilty because someone accuses them.

Ah I see, if you've never been accused of sexual assault before then it can never happen. Thankfully that perturbed thinking went out the window several decades ago. Maybe try googling MeToo.

Turkey?

But if you're referring to Australia you are correct; might as well call it New China.

We do. The alliance with the US was fun while it lasted but with your commitment to clown-car leadership it was time to switch.

Yes, sexual assault does happen. Yes, unfortunately it does go unreported in far too many cases.

But, false accusations do happen as well. False accusations certainly don't make up the majority of cases, nor is it an excuse for automatically dismissing all reports of assault. But some studies have shown the incidences of false accusation of between 2 and 10%. (This includes cases where the victim has recanted, or conclusive proof is provided that the allegations were untrue.)

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/False_accusation_of_rape

Reade's case does have a few red flags.... a history of giving inconsistent testimony (both about the assault and other things) by the victim, a strange subplot involving the victim's infatuation with Putin (and a subsequent attempt to cleanse her account). This doesn't necessarily mean that her story should be ignored, but it does mean that we should proceed with caution before we jump on the "Biden the rapist" bandwagon.

Since the Australian government works for Chinese interests, (Sam Dastyari for those who love to google), I agree it's best US leaves Australia to its bat soup.

According to the Salon article I posted, I think that yes it was a russian friend.

She has certainly made efforts to scrub her Putin-love.

I think the documentary is a 4-hour series he did called The Putin Interviews.

From: https://www.theguardian.com/tv-and-...ir-putin-russian-people-never-been-better-off
Stone’s epic four-part film The Putin Interviews was described by the Daily Beast as a “wildly irresponsible love letter” to Russia’s president. It “says as much about Oliver Stone as it does Vladimir Putin”, said CNN. “Flattery, but little scepticism,” said the New York Times.

Thanks for the clarification. I should have followed your link and read that story first but I was in a bit of a hurry at the time so I left it for later.
I'm reading it now and it seems to be pretty well reported.

Here's that link again:

What Biden's supporters have enthusiasm for is lashing out at outsiders for facing reality too much for them.

Maybe people are hoping ol' Word-Salad Joe will just slip through the cracks and become President. or maybe he's being hidden away a bit by his handlers to wait until the sex scandal dies down.

Which is all to say I'm not seeing much enthusiasm either. As of a minute ago, there were six threads on Trump and one on Bernie that were drawing more responses than this one.

Biden must be glad this coronavirus has taken all the attention off of him. That's what a presidential candidate needs..... less attention.

Fact Checking Biden's Coronavirus response:

"We have to take care of the cure that will make the problem worse no matter what"

Uh . . . erm . . . I'm gonna need some help on this one.

What [ Biden's | Sanders' | Harris' | Warren's | Trump's | Clinton's | Romney's | Jeb's | Gore's | Thunberg's | Thanos' | Superman's | Maddow's | CNN's | Breitbart's | Fox's ] supporters have enthusiasm for is lashing out at outsiders for facing reality too much for them.

FTFY. HTH. HAND!

"As a cure for the pandemic, economic shutdown is going to make for worse problems in the long term. Our top priority needs to be finding a better solution so we can all get back to producing wealth before we run out of wealth reserves to carry an idle workforce."

I mean, seriously. This things spreads by people interacting with each other. 99% of our global economy depends to some extent on people interacting with each other. Shutting all that down to slow the spread of this thing isn't really a desirable or sustainable solution. We should all be focused on finding something better, and moving beyond widespread quarantine, as soon as possible.

---

My theory is that regions should work on building up prophylactic resources and hospital surge capacity, and that as each region comes online with these things, quarantine restrictions should be loosened and the virus should be allowed to spread somewhat in that region. As each region passes its peak, it can forward its equipment (ventilators, surplus masks, etc.) to the next.

Ultimately, this thing does need to spread. It needs to make its mark on the global immune system, and become part of the annual flu landscape. Slowing the spread to something manageable is obviously a critical part of the solution, but it can only be a part of the solution. Depend on it too much, for too long, and it'll cause even worse problems down the road.

Your theory sounds a hell of a lot like parts of what Warren was saying should happen on an interview I heard yesterday, and what the plan on Covid-19 she released months ago.

Ah, but we must fight the plague in an electable way.

It's not flu. It appears that the death rate is 1 to 2 percent -- between one and two of every 100 people who contract it will die -- and around 20 percent will need to be hospitalized. No, making it part of the landscape is not the solution.
