Cont: Biden for President? Pt 2

Unacceptable. Irrational.

... because now is the time to hear everything both sides drop, as their October surprises.

What else will you be closing your eyes and ears to ?

Now is too late.

More people have already voted in Texas than voted in the 2016 election.

With that sort of turnout it is actually possible that Trump will be the first Republican to lose Texas since Ford. The one that lost to Carter.

The other Ford never loses in Texas, Built Ford Tough! #F150Life

Unacceptable? Irrational? What makes it either of those things?

The fact that it is an October surprise in itself makes it undeserving of attention. Motivations matter. The timing of this suggest that this is unlikely to be anything beyond a politically motivated smear.

Tell you what, Bill Barr can investigate Biden after Joe is sworn in. ;)

In the mean time I'm voting for the man who will put an end to the worst Presidency in American history.

This is the new argumentative normal. Insanity demands equal time with sanity.

The side that is always wrong about everything demands they get equal time at every point in the discussion or else they whine that we're being "unfair."

Ah, yes......The National Review and Peter Schweizer:

The same Peter Schweizer who authored the notorious Clinton Cash How did Snopes rate Schweizer claim about his Uranium One? FALSE

Schweizer also claimed in Clinton Cash that Hillary changed positions on an India nuclear deal while a senator after donations to the Clinton Foundation. This was also proved FALSE by Politifact.

Forgive me if I don't put much stock in what Peter Schweizer, the senior editor for Breitbart 'news', says.

I keep looking for something significant here. I must confess, one of the reasons I do so is that I'm afraid that it might exist. I'm afraid there might be something significant here. I wouldn't want that because that could help Trump get re-elected.

So far, I haven't found anything. It's possible that the Vice President met with some Chinese businessmen. I don't think I need to look into that story any deeper than that. Isn't that what Vice Presidents do? Low level diplomacy and trade negotiations?

I just don't see anything in the story that is supposed to get me mad as Hell and not willing to take it anymore.

I'll never ever vote for a Chinese businessman. Or any other kind.

So right there's a victory for Trumpf. Muh.

If Bubba and CE don't accept anything you say, then gosh darn it, you fellers just have to accept that.

One must always consider the source: their motivations and, most importantly, their history of accuracy and honesty in their reporting. Credibility above all. Breitbart, Project Veritas, and many other far right sources do not score high in credibility for a reason. Neither does Bannon nor Giuliani. But above all sits Trump as the least credible person in government.

President Obama used to say that “if you wanted to see something really screwed up, give it to Joe Biden to do.” In fact, he tried to keep Joe from running, “you don’t have to do this Joe”, and then wouldn’t endorse him until long after the Primaries ended. “Joe is lost!”.

Bingo.

An October Surprise is entirely premised on there being enough time to breathlessly promote any unhinged nonsense they happen to have lying around (pun intended) because the unraveling will only occur after it doesn't matter any more.

But I would expect fans of a reality TV star to be hooked by the "season finale" hype.

Greenwald I have always had "provisional" respect for. He's been in literal fear for his life for a few years now, however, and it is showing through in his (latest) adult tantrum.

The fact his options of where to go cry about it are Tucker Carlson or Joe Rogan says quite enough. On the latter, Greenwald appeared after *checks notes* Alex Jones.

So yeah.

Taibbi can join him at this point.

I'm avoiding looking at if Scahill has entered the fray, because that might require resolving some cognitive dissonance.

But a lot of my old favorites are going in that perrenial gadfly direction a-la Christopher Hitchens.

Bubba's idea that I must at the very last minute examine accusations of corruption that screams more baseless FUD then anything. FUD if you don't know is a sales technique to spread Fear Uncertainty and Doubt about a competitor's products.

This isn't a year or even a 3 month long police investigation. No it is wild accusations being made by partisan political hacks days before election. And what is the allegation? That the Vice President may have used his office improperly somehow. But there is huge problem with that accusation.

The Vice President has no authority. Absolutely none. He couldn't trade a pencil without getting an ok from the President. And Bubba etc are totally indifferent when Trump's children benefit from Trump's position and policies.

Uh...yeah...I'd like to see that fact checked. Not that Trump would lie or anything.

Biden asked Obama not to endorse him until after he'd won the primary. Not that Trump would lie about that. No, not at all.

As I thought: It comes from an "anonymous source".

Yet searing, anonymously sourced quotes from Obama kept appearing through the race. One Democrat who spoke to Obama recalled the former president warning, “Don’t underestimate Joe’s ability to **** things up.”
