Mostly in previous time, medical system was not much advanced. So learned people had preferred natural/other ways for healing. One way was to follow faith/religion, strictly. Its purpose should had been to create faith/placebo/reward expectation related scientific healing effects as indicated above and to motivate its followers to practice healthful activities, again for health & healing---and that too be a natural healing mechanism with least side effects.

And what are you suggesting here? Yes, dopamine is one explanation of some placebo reactions. But if you suggest we restrain ourselves to such methods, a lot of people are going to die. Including yourself.

It does not replace effective medicine.

No, Kumar. You are being asked what it is supposed to be evidence FOR?

You present a citation of data, and say "this is evidence". Sure it is evidence, but for what?

In other words, you present an answer, but what was the question?
