Barrack Obama's 60th Birthday party

He travels. Meets with world leaders and organizations. Does some talks. Attends events. Gives some commencement speeches and eulogies.

He set up the Obama Foundation that sponsors some programs and scholarships, promotes some improvements in Chicago, and oversees the development of his Presidential library.

He has been spending a lot of time writing his memoirs. The first of two volumes was published last November. He is working on the second volume.

He started a film production company that has a deal with Netflix. They released a film a couple years ago that won an Academy Award for best documentary feature last year. They release a film about Michelle Obama last year that ties in with her book. They have a number of other projects planned.

Fairly standard post-Presidential type stuff.

Whereas Trump has spent his post-Presidency carrying on with what he did for the whole four years he was in office... lying, grifting and whining about non-existent election fraud.
 
Good a place as any for this question: Any word on when Obama's portrait will go up in the White House? Latest I heard was just "some time this year".

I cannot imagine how anyone with even an ounce of rationality can continue to support the moron, much less needlessly follow him unless they somehow
were predisposed to a cult, religious or otherwise.

I'm on Medicare and I'm vaccinated. How is having a vaccine or getting a negative covid test an affluence thing?

I think Martha's Vineyard and having a personal connection to the former president is the affluence test.

They should have held the party on the true Martha's Vineyard, a smaller, uninhabited island nearby that is used as a military bombing range. Mind the unexploded ordinance.

To clarify, the affluence part had nothing to do with anyone having been vaccinated, but rather pertained to just being able to attend such a party in itself.

If an outdoor party of 200 vaccinated people, who test negative as well, on an island with Secret Service protection becomes a superspreader event then we have a new strain of the virus that basically can't be stopped and I'd advise everyone to grab their "bug out bag" and say goodbye to civilization.

But let's be real. This is just oatmeal brains wanting to find some excuse that their precious motorcycle and bodily fluid exchange party is somehow not the festering boil of incomprehensible callousness that it is.
 
For additional clarification, my OP was merely an observation or comparison if you will. One where I value responses from all perspectives despite the fact I may disagree with some of them. - I appreciate all the replies. This, being why it is I joined this forum to begin with.
