Barack Obama never attended Columbia University

you know, if we finally prove that obama went to columbia, then they will say that he didnt go to harvard.

then they will say he really isnt black. then they will say he is really a satan worshipper.

then they will say he is really a jew. then they will say...

So wait a minute. If I get this right...most of the "evidence" he didn't attend Columbia University was that no one remembers him? I mean correct me if I am wrong here? So if in 10 years no one remembers me attending Missouri State University, than I didn't graduate? What if no one remembers me going for my Masters at the University of Denver? If I decide to go for a Ph.D. at the University of Washington and no one knows who I am would that invalidate my degree? Since when do most people remember everyone that attended. Heck the people I remember most were the stoner kids, and none of them ever graduated, and I can't remember their names. I suppose they never attended?

You know, by accusing the CTers of being racists it doesn't make you anything but a political demagoguge. Pulling the race card out in response to either legitimate or illegitimate critcisim (and this is the later) against Obama is distasteful. It could just be they don't like his politics and in the usual CT mode make up stuff about him, you know.

I also do not like Obama. I study government for a living - getting a PhD in Public Administration, the administration of the public sector itself. My academic opinion is that all evidence points to his policies being an utter disaster. Just because I think so does not mean I am a racist, especially when I was involved in the movement to get Colin Powell to run.

HOWEVER, moving on to the CT - this is absolute nonsense. ANYONE who went to a large college and focused on studying is going to be a unknown to their classmates and their professors. I went to a small college of about 15,000 students so my graduating major class was anywhere from 25 (religious studies) to 150 (political science), I got a few degrees so it varies. I tried very hard to get good grades so I'd guess none of the students would remember me because I didn't socialize (to many degrees in too few years).

As someone who now has to TA for large sections of undergraduates at a top research school (not ivy league, but very close), none of the professors know any of the undergraduates unless they do something stupid or do so well on the stuff I have to grade that I mention it to the professor. The only way this would be odd is if he had a graduate degree, since graduate school requires a close relationship at least to your thesis adviser and committee. This has changed as masters degrees have gotten easier and programs are dropping the thesis requirement, but it would have been true in his time. I also didnt socialize much for my masters degree and no student would remember me, but the faculty would because I had to work with them or for them. However, his graduate degree is professional and professional programs (JDs and MBAs) have so many people they are much like undergraduate in that you don't get as much close time with faculty. I considered going to Harvard's MBA program after they admitted me until I saw the cattle call that was the everyday experience when I went to visit.

What happened is that Obama faded into the unwashed undergraduate masses at Columbia like most undergraduates. Like most, his grades probably were not enough to floor anyone, so that is why he isn't releasing transcripts.

Read a few more of MaGZ's threads and the articles he quotes from Metapedia.

He is a racist and thinks being called such is a compliment.

However, the rest of your post was spot on.

Ah, I see now. All right, I retract that then. The OP does seem to have a dislike for Obama based on racism, and not politics or philosophy. It was a bit of a instant reaction from me because I have seen so many people who don't support Obama called racists simply because they don't support him - even African Americans. This guys posting history suggests differently though!

More ambiguous accusations of course. :words:

Ayers and company opening the doors for him to become President??? Gee Magz, any real skeptic would be really, really, really skeptical of that assumption.

Barack Obama never attended Columbia University. He moved to New York City on advice of Frank Marshall Davis and meet Bill Ayers who became Obama’s new political mentor, molding him into a modern day Manchurian candidate.

Obama never lived on campus or attended classes at Columbia. Nobody at Columbia remembers him. Ayers with his contacts at Columbia had a phony transcript prepared and placed in the registrar’s office. Later on, Ayers would ghost-write Obama’ first book.

Did Barack Obama go to Columbia?

C'mon, folks! MaGZ is only stirring everyone for the lulz. He counts his "success" by how many of you don't get that and post "seriously" in response.

Serious, but apparently ignored.....And quotemined, let's not forget!

Fox News contacted 400 students at Columbia University who attended when Obama was supposedly a student then, but could not find anyone who remembers him. It is more than just Root who does not remember Obama at Columbia.

Again there is evidence Obama attended Occidental and Harvard but not Columbia.

MaGZ,

Columbia isn't like your high school. It's not the same amount of people, nor is everyone on a mission to know everyone. Like any big university, no one student knows an amount anywhere close to a majority.

If he attended, some of the professors would have remembered him. Where are they; why haven’t they came forward and to tell us how brilliant Obama was?

Just find someone who knew him as a student at Columbia. If he attended, you could find someone. It shouldn’t be that hard. This conspiracy theory could easily be dismissed if someone turned up who knew Obama at Columbia.

As I said earlier, there is no real evidence Obama ever attended Columbia.

As LightInDarkness said, maybe he wasn't an outstanding student. Maybe he was a solid B- or C+ student. That doesn't mean he didn't attend.

Don’t you find it a bit curious Obama lived in several slum apartments with a Pakistani drug addict instead of on campus at Columbia?

Yeah, none, except for manufactured fake stuff like Columbia counting him as an alumnus. Which means they're also in on it, whatever the it du jour is.

It's just funny how incompetent these conspirators are; they forged the files at Columbia to show that Obama attended the university, yet they neglected to brainwash, bribe, or blackmail any real Columbia alumni to claim that they knew Obama back in the day.

A quick investigoogle finds a statement FROM COLUMBIA UNIVERSITY that Mr. Obama did in fact graduate in 1983, without honors. He is listed in the 1983 commencement program.

Columbia isn't like an online diploma mill; to get a degree, you have to show up and do some work. This looks to me like Obama squeaked through Columbia, got into Harvard Law with a little help, and applied himself once he got there as he did graduate with honors from Harvard. Doesn't that explain why he plays down his Columbia experience and plays up his Harvard time?

Why would he be remembered at Occidental and not Columbia?

The Obama campaign declined to discuss Obama's time at Columbia and his friendships in general. It won't, for example, release his transcript or name his friends. It did, however, list five locations where Obama lived during his four years here: three on Manhattan's Upper West Side and two in Brooklyn — one in Park Slope, the other in Brooklyn Heights. His memoir mentions two others on Manhattan's Upper East Side.

If it so easy you could have done it and prevented another embarrassing thread like this one.

This will be another one the bigot slinks away from with foot in mouth.
