Banned from RaptureReady...

Shouldn't it be their God's job to determine who goes to hell, not theirs? Stupid fundies.

*shrugs* Well, apparently they both speak for him and have enough of his power to be able to tell what's in a person's heart... though apparently this ability didn't kick in until recently, else they would have known I wasn't saved in the first place.

I understand their fear though... how can they know they are truly saved or won't fall away? I know that one girl is very very upset about the issue, which makes me rather sad. Wish I could post to her and try to help in some way...

Well, what many of them fail to realize is that most of them are in the same boat. ;)

Precisely. Do they wonder what they truly believe now? I almost hope they do. Let them see it's not so clear-cut as they like to make out.

Heh

You do realize that when the RR lurkers here see that, they'll say:"We were right in saying that she was "never truly saved in the first place"? :p

Maybe you should've put that last part in quotes?

If they're going to be that quick to jump and twist my meaning, there's no real point debating the issue with them.

Oh wait... they already are, and there already isn't.

Who is this 'them'?

It USED to be clear cut to you, no?

Who are they to tell you that you expressed intent to mock God (I'm sure you know your intentions better than they do), who are they to tell you that you are a bad person for having an inability to rationally reconcile insane apocalyptic prophecies about a vengeful savior who's coming back and is nonetheless very pissed, who are they to judge you for growing intellectually if it so happens to result rethinking of the Christian Faith.

Inability to rationally reconcile apocalyptic prophecy? I seemed to have missed that debate there, all knowing one. Could you enlighten me with a case o' cerebral priapism, so I too can engage in this intellectual fellatio?

I'd like to post over there; but I'd be banned fast.:)

What would you like to debate? Or was your intent to merely flame?

Come on over my pretty.

Well, Sparklecat, I hope I can speak for everyone when I say that you're always welcome here among the heathens.

Well isn't that a pleasant cult like, group think.

:p

How sweet and tempting.

During my many years as a true believing Mormon I debated many Christians. They were very good at using reason and logic to discredit Mormonism. Funny how they can be so selective in their use of skepticism.

I am seriously considering registering at RR as a Mormon. I still am one, technically. I would love to have a discussion with a Christian who would challenge me to use reason and logic.

One can fantasize.

Play your Mormon game, what would you like to posit?

I am of the opinion that you could use some more clever adjectives, but alas I bring no proof.

:(

This them is those Christians who seem to have nothing better to do than talk about me when I can't respond and insult me by saying I never did actually believed because it'll hurt their worldview too much to contemplate. And it was clear-cut for me, but I did deconverts the courtesy of allowing them to have rejected their faith while truly believing in the first place.

Cultish? Circling inwards? Let's compare which group bans people for their beliefs and which lets those who disagree express that disagreement, shall we?

Well, I will let those that posited the absurd answer for themselves and their own groupthink. ;)

These are mere message boards you know.

You do understand the 'power' of groupthink and how it applies here as well?

Side note - No I will not play your secretary. Get one of your lackey's to do so.

Ah. I see. So you won't respond to refutations of your points unless the person who first made the claim is the one to answer, then?

Messageboards or no, what happened was not fair... and showing that up is my response.

Certainly. But at least we listen to outside opinions here and let people speak.

Fine. But my lackeys, as you call them, left as well in protest. If you don't wish to help me out, that's your decision.

I see nothing that has been refuted, just attempted.

I agree (as you should know) that it was unfair.

Ah, but having the 'power' to counter and push group think onto a poster can be more forceful than banning.

Bah in regards to help, I wasn't referring to those that left silly. It was metaphorical.

You don't see the back slapping and intellectual fellatio that occurs here as well? Or is this just preferable?

:)

While I find it unfair, it is merely their opinion. What a splendid conclusion you have jumped to, that their faith is really lacking and they are frightened. Is this the eye for eye season?

When did you arrive at the conclusion that your mannerisms and protocol were courteous? How did that fit into a paradigm outside of you? Or was that further subjectivity?

Perhaps answer it then?

Yes, I know.

Aye, and you're just being overwhelmed by that, hmm?

See it? Certainly. But it's not as if one has to agree or participate to be accepted.

No, I don't say their faith is lacking, because I don't believe it is. I say that my example most likely makes them worried as to how secure anyone's faith can be. And I do think that frightens them, yes. No eye for an eye, just an evaluation.

Point out where I've been impolite?

I did answer it.

You know what?

Overwhelmed by what? I don't recall being overwhelmed by anything.

Really, whom is not skeptical here and accepted? Or feels so?
