Banned Book:The Hoax of the Twentieth Century

In the end, the only real thing a Holocaust denier is left with is, "It wasn't 6 million, nowhere near that, it was more like 1 or 2 or 3 million."

Argue about the numbers of the millions who died because they were Jewish , but don't pretend it didn't happen, or that it's somehow not as bad as it's made out to be. It is one of the worst documented things people have ever done to other people.

This book debunks the alleged "holocaust" and was first published back in 1976. It is written by Arthur Butz.

Northwestern University Associate Professor Arthur Butz recently issued a statement commending Iranian President Ahmadinejad's assertion that the Holocaust never happened. Butz is a Holocaust denier who has made similar assertions previously. His latest statement, like his earlier writings and pronouncements, is a contemptible insult to all decent and feeling people. While I hope everyone understands that Butz's opinions are his own and in no way represent the views of the University or me personally, his reprehensible opinions on this issue are an embarrassment to Northwestern.
There is no question that the Holocaust is a well-documented historical fact. The University has a professorship in Holocaust Studies endowed by the Holocaust Educational Foundation. Northwestern offers courses in Holocaust Studies and organizes conferences of academic scholars who teach in areas relating to the Holocaust. In addition, Northwestern hosts a summer Institute for Holocaust and Jewish Civilization. And most recently, a fellowship in the political science department has been established in my name by the Holocaust Educational Foundation. In short, Northwestern University has contributed significantly to the scholarly research of the Holocaust and remains committed to doing so.

Butz is a tenured associate professor in electrical engineering. Like all faculty members, he is entitled to express his personal views, including on his personal web pages, as long as he does not represent such opinions as the views of the University. Butz has made clear that his opinions are his own and at no time has he discussed those views in class or made them part of his class curriculum. Therefore, we cannot take action based on the content of what Butz says regarding the Holocaust - however odious it may be - without undermining the vital principle of intellectual freedom that all academic institutions serve to protect.

This book debunks the alleged "holocaust" and was first published back in 1976. It is written by Arthur Butz. It is banned in Austria, Canada, France, Germany, Poland, Switzerland and other countries that have laws against free speech and open enquiry. Many of these same countries have troops in Afghanistan supposedly to bring "democracy" to that country. It's a pity they don't believe in it back home! I agree with Mondial on one point:

This book should not be banned.

This book should be sold to all people who want to read it to have a good example of misinformation, racism, historical inaccuracy and a good laugh.

Have you read the book?

If so, what is to laugh about?

The difference is that all the countries this little piece of hate fiction is banned in are democracies. So if people want that particular law changed all they have to do is create a party that has the abolition of such limitations on free speech as one of its (key) policies and convince people to vote for them, which would remove the restriction.
Until such the laws are actually part of what the people want, not random government enforced restrictions.
The fact that such parties do not get a majority might not be something you like, but its hardly undemocratic.

The problem is if you were to create such a party in Germany, that party would soon been banned.

The chair recognizes our resident Neo-Nazi, who will now elaborate on how Germany of today is not democratic enough to satisfy his Nazi standards. MagZ?

Video editing equipment and movie making equipment is pretty cheap, maybe you could make a documentary about Stalin's victims, instead of peddling drivel about Holocaust denial.

Meanwhile, I'm pretty darned confident that the claim made in the first sentence above is rather easily refuted, even by a Holocaust denier. I knew about the Holocaust before 1974, and I'm pretty sure I learned about it on television.

(Trivia aside: When I was growing up, I generally didn't hear the word "holocaust" to describe the Nazi atrocities. It wasn't after the miniseries mentioned above that that word became synonymous with the attempted extermination of the Jews in Europe.)

ETA:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Holocaust_films

The "Holocaust" was invented in the 1970s, before that the word never referred to Jews.

There were no holocaust movies in the 1940's, 50's or 60's and then circa 1974 Did Six Million Really Die? ...
.
i saw at least one dated in the late '30s, early '40s, where the mass murderings were mentioned.
Name escapes me now, but the Holocaust, not named as such yet, was covered.
Many WWII veterans brought back proof. My father did, which I saw in 1946.
So many of the accused confessed with extravagant detail, it's down right stupid to deny the situation.

I married a Jewish woman. She had a copy of an old family photograph, but we weren't sure who the people really were. Her grandmother was in the photo (taken in Poland in 1937) and she remembered the first names of the people in the photo, and a little bit about them, but not very much. A couple of years ago, we did some genealogical research, and are confident we positively identified each of the 10 people in the photo.

This source was very helpful in making the identification:

Is that a violin I hear?

Anyone who denies the Holocaust should have a Swastika carved in their ignorant faces. The evidence is overwhelming. There are endless images and footage from death camps such as Auschwitz. My English teacher's Polish father was a survivor of such a camp, and he told me, in his fathers words, what went on. The elderly were taken away first, never to be seen again. The grandchildren of these elderly would be told that they've gone to the hospital for a while. There are historical reports and first hand accounts of it; e.g. The Diary of Anne Frank. And this is just an ounce of the evidence.

I do realize you all would know all this but to those that still deny it....

SERIOUSLY?! ARE YOU DERANGED?!

"The Diary of Anne Frank" a historical report? You might want to research that.

If Jewish Hollywood made a Holocaust film in the 1930s saying Jews were being mass murdered in Germany would you say that the film was a lie? And if Hollywood would lie about NS Germany in the 1930s would they lie in the 1940s, 1950s, 1960s, ect. ect.?

Wow and that list does not even cover documentaries

For the record. Episode 20 of "The World At War" Is called Genocide, aired March 1974. This series is widely regarded as one of the best WW2 documentaries ever made. Funny how 25 episodes are great, and one is fake

So did "The Night Porter" (it's not on the list, even though "Ilsa" is).

The "Holocaust" was invented in the 1970s, before that the word never referred to Jews.
As has been pointed out to you previously, this is a lie.

And let's also not forget the other millions killed for being the wrong kind of people (Slavic, Romani, gay, liberal artist, etc.). Bad enough that the mainstream tend to forget those, but holocaust deniers are particularly good at ignoring these.

I've seen your posts in the 9-11 sewer, and have an opinion on the lack of substance to those, and those you post here.
Probably 7 or 8 cans short of a 6-pack.

So you agree the Jews redefined the word "Holocaust" in the 1970s.

Do you have to turn your head sideways to be able to read others' posts in such a slanted manner?
