I feel slightly intimidated as it's a "serious science" environment, and I am not a scientist.
 
"Serious science"? Don't be silly. I'll be there and Randi's not a scientist either.
Everyone else will be BA forum members or from here, so nothing to worry about. I'll hold your hand if you get too many butterflies.

Sid I would love to come down and see Phil, hes a star. (bad astronomy pun I know) I cant make it on the 17th though Im afraid. I will be there for the 19th though, and I havent forgotten your pint either. ;)

Oops. I just realised I'm not actually free on the 17th - I have tickets for Have I Got News for You.

Why can there be weeks without anything exciting happening in my life, and than two interesting things come up on the same day? Not fair :(
 
I am a complete idiot. I just realised that the 17th is TODAY and my tickets for HIGNFY are for next Thursday. In other words, see you tonight.

Not me - personal commitments mean I'll be "up north" from later on tonight for about a week. But don't let that worry any of you, you all go on and still have a great time, don't give me a second thought.

Alas I can't make it tonight but if anyone who has my mobile number wants to call me so I can say Hi to Phil, that would be awesome (cos I'm not sure if he's going to be able to pick up his emails today).

Hope everyone enjoyed Saturday :randi: as much as I did.

Phil will be giving a SitP Special today. There's a good article on the meetup last week on Nature networks here.
