You're trolling and you know it. Your irrational hatred of Labor makes constructive engagement with you impossible.

You could always try.

What position do you not agree with and what correction?

btw, I don't hate Labor, hell I've voted for them a few times. But I really dislike this government, the worst one ever.

This just gets worse and worse:

http://www.heraldsun.com.au/news/mo...t-thomson-abbott/story-fn7x8me2-1226119210037

BELEAGUERED Labor MP Craig Thomson is facing explosive allegations he breached electoral laws after spending nearly $40,000 on his 2007 election campaign using his union credit card.

As pressure intensifies for Mr Thomson to give a detailed explanation to Parliament, the Herald Sun can also reveal he had a $30,000 personal spending spree using his union credit card on Qantas flights for his ex-wife, swank hotels and expensive restaurant meals.

And of course, Craig Thomson. The whole affair is a millstone to drag down Gillard. No matter how implausible his denials become and how unpleasant any new revelations, the government does not have the luxury of sacking him.

"Mate, if he ******* murdered someone, we'd try to keep him in until 2013,'' a Labor MP said
.

How nice. Power at any cost.

http://www.abc.net.au/news/2011-08-22/brandis-calls-for-thomson-inquiry/2849974

Shadow attorney-general George Brandis is writing to New South Wales Police Commissioner Andrew Scipione to call for a police investigation into Labor backbencher Craig Thomson's use of a union credit card.

and

But Senator Brandis says either way, criminal charges should be laid against someone because "a crime has been committed".

"On either view of events a crime has been committed because if Mr Thomson is telling the truth, he is alleging his signature was forged so that's a crime," Senator Brandis told Radio National.

"If Mr Thomson isn't telling the truth then it seems reasonably clear then it seems at least some of the outlays from his union credit card were for personal expenses which were not repaid.

"That, in my view, constitutes a breach of various provisions of the New South Wales Crimes Act relating to property offences.

"It is a crime in New South Wales to use somebody else's credit card for your own personal expenses."

Would that be the same Brandis who said nothing about criminal actions by people actually sitting in Parliament who were members of his own party? I think it would be. He has no more interest in justice than Abbot, this is all about power.

Meanwhile, Allan Jones headlines a farce in Canberra, where an astro-turf protest summons up about 300 demonstrators. Allan Jones hits genuine conspiracy theory highs with claims that the police barred protestors from attending, otherwise there would have been thousands attending.

Who? (Your dual use of the plural is noted)
And when was he asked about these people?

There was an investigation, and it was dropped, eventually. That is probably the way the ALP will play this, too.
Brandis hasn't had to be asked about this, he's been going around telling everyone of his own volition.
There were three people accused of misusing parliamentary funds, all sitting Liberal members.

So there was an investigation underway by the authorities, right? What has Brandis called for? An investigation. Seems fair enough to me. In the meantime some are calling for him to step aside from his committee position; nothing more.

But tell me, would you condone this? Just allow it to pass on his say so?

Graham Richardson also says there is more to come on this issue and it will get worse.

What would Abbot do about that? It's far more serious than the number of refugee boats turning up, and it is causing jobs to disappear. No slogans from Abbot, though. Not a whisper.

No brainer: He would do some sensible things like:
- relax stringent workplace laws that impact adversely on manufacturing /industry. Remember how Gillard took our workplace laws back to the 70s?
- drop the carbon tax.
- start acting like a leader.

Gillard would introduce a carbon tax that will make us even less competitive and - hand on heart - say she cares about your job. What a joke!

It's the dollar killing industry, not workplace laws. Not unless you think that everyone in manufacturing should take a 20% pay cut.

The carbon tax, despite the uproar from Abbot, will cost very little in real terms. Abbot, btw, will bring in his own new tax, to fund his new maternity leave scheme. He will call it a levy instead, and place it on industry. Never hear much about that.

He is not a leader, he is a disgrace, in terms of being a human being. Even the liberals have been frightened of the hatred he has stirred up, and backed off on the rhetoric.

In light of todays miserable polls I guess.... Combet, Gillard and Labor are getting seriously desperate resorting to these type of tactics.

Federal Climate Change Minister Greg Combet has accused Opposition Leader Tony Abbott of having a racist climate change policy.

When one starts playing loose and fast with the racism card, it's all over.

Tragically hilarious.
