Australia will not prosecute Ahmadinejad

Why the Hitler status? The US/UK alliance has made a moderately successful attempt at wiping Iraq off the map and yet a proportion of the world still doesn't regard the US and the UK as rogue states.

Ain't politics confusin'?

BS. If we had wanted to do that we could have done so with little loss of life to our troops. We have plenty of GBU-43/B's ("Mother Of All Bombs") and other ordinance that can level city blocks. This is not an exageration.
  • We did not target infrustructure.
  • We did not target life support.
  • We have put our troops in harms way to avoid loss of life.
America and American troops have commited crimes and we have to take responsibility for the heavy loss of life in Iraq. You are well within the realm of propriety to critisize America for the Iraq war and the loss fo life there. That said, your claim that we have made an attempt to wipe Iraq of the map is unfounded and simply for rhetorical purposes. In short, it is dishonest. If we had wanted to wipe Iraq of the map without using nuclear weapons we could have done so years ago.

While I disagree with JihadJane, I would like to know how could Iran wipe Israel off the map, considering that they have no planes and no nukes (and, even with a nuclear program ongoing, they will not be able to make any).

They already have a fairly advanced missile program. Once they acquire nukes they will have the means to deliver them, if they decide to.

Why would they do such a thing, considering that one second after they will be nuked too?
Also, please give evidence that they could make a nuke with an uranium enrichment system designed to enrich uranium at 3.5% level

I can not read minds, and therefore can not tell you what the Iranians will, or will not do, once they have nukes. If I could either read minds, or see the future, I would apply to the million dollar prize, or get into gambling.

Personally I see no reason for the Iranians to use their nukes. I believe they would like to use them as cover for their wars by proxy. My estimation is that once they have nukes they will encourage militant Islamic movement to create troubles around the middle east.

On the other hand, since I can not see how a country can send soldiers, sometimes underage, to clear mine-fields by walking into them. Thus, it is possible that the Iranians would choose to act in a way I can not understand.

As for your last point, there is no evidence to present since no one knows what the Iranians actually have. The only sites inspected are the ones we know of, which are also the ones that the Iranians declared as related to their nuclear program. As a result, I think that UN inspections are not effective.

The thread seems to have wandered back vaguely towards the topic. Please try and keep it there.

Iraq's infrastructure is in ruins despite all the highly lucrative "reconstruction" contracts that have been handed out to Bush buddies. How did that happen?

It is still possible that the invasion and occupation will lead to the disintegration of Iraq as a political entity. Bombs aren't the only only weapons in the invaders' arsenal.

Such a broad understanding might also lessen propagandistic lies about Iran.

I find your response simply rhetorical and somewhat dishonest. There has been a war and we have NOT targeted infrastructure. We have put our soldiers in harms way to mitigate loss of life and destruction of property. Why would we use these other "weapons" when we didn't have to and we could have save a lot of money and American lives.

Hey, you and I can both critisize Buse et all but let's at least be honest while we do that. You denounce the lies and propaganda. Cool. Don't then engage in the same if you are sincere.
