Australia Immigration vs. USA

The USA always gets excement for its unenforced immigration policy. What do other countries do? Well, here's Australia for example. You have to be skilled/educated to get into Australia, yet who gives them excrement for their policies?

Actually, I remember quite a few controversies involving asylum seekers.

But I'm pretty sure Australia needs stricter immigration limits because of the environment/over population issues.

(And let's not get started on the White Australia policy)
