August Stundie Nominations

We built 'em. Better use 'em.

From the comments section at Infowars (that counts, right?)

Our horrible leaders have gassed us with chemicals from overhead, poisoned us with vaccines, and are going to put us in forced labor camps. But on the bright side, once we're in charge we'll already have the infrastructure to support our own new world order. Except we'll only do those things to the people that deserve it or those that reject GOD and freedom.

I like that he even mangled Rahm's quote.

I'm nominating bill smith. ferd burfle's post is here for the context.

That right folks, the Columbia accident could not have happened. End of story.

"Columbia astronauts found vacationing in Rio! More at eleven!"

An alternate interpretation, since the first sentence was presented in the form of a question, is that he just refuses to think about it. End of story. :)

I concede that your interpretation could be valid.

But it's still a Stundie!

Nominating out of Snopes, which I'm not certain is sourceable enough since the article is about an email forward. However, the headspinning inconsistancy within this paragraph is stunning:

The CDC says H1N1 is currently wiping out entire villagees in Asia. They expect it to hit the US in Jan/Feb where it will kill 6 out of 10 people. It HAS mutated. (Throw out the conspiracy theory) They will attempt a program of mandatory vaccinations but probably will not have enough time to enforce it. I will not be vaccinated. the last time they did mandatory vaccinations at least one person died and many others developed Guillain-Barre syndrome, which is a devastating illness.
The flu will kill 6 out of 10, but I'm not going to risk being the at least one out of 300 million that dies from the vaccine.
Snopes didn't let me select text, so some spelling errors may be mine, in fairness. link

I'm not gonna win for July, so I'm feeling the need to step it up.

You have to admire the sort of research skills that can even get Joanne Rowling's name wrong.

Dave

Be fair. It's not like she's one of the most famous fantasy writers of the last 50 years or anything. I bet she hasn't even had one movie made from her books, and certainly not one of the highest grossing film series of all time or anything like that.

And for bonus points, her middle name is most certainly not Kathleen.

The plot thickens:

This media obsession with the crazy birther movement is being manufactured by the liberal media [...] The media is trying to use this to paint all conservatives as crazy to encourage public support for Obama and his health care plan.

Hmmm, jjfox sounds a lot like a poster I know on the Blackvault, "Code Black", who stated that the mistakes that GWB made were caused by the liberals in order to make public opinion of all conservatives go down.

Yeah, lots of buildings going on the demolition block soon due to loose bolts.:covereyes

Well its a lot easier and cheaper than going around to every-single-bolt in the structure, one-by-one,,,,,, and tightening them.:D

I already know that I am voting for bill smith this time though. Confronted with definitive evidence and he simply refuses it, priceless.

Bill Smith thinks mashing a dangerous organism into its component organic chemicals makes it more dangerous.

Do you mean that no massively expnensive specialised equipment is needed to grind say Anthrax down to weaponised nano-levels ?

This is funny, in a kind of sick way. From the YouTube comments of this video.

The childish fight between Steven E. Jones and Jim Fetzer over whether Thermite or Space Beams Weapons brought down the towers was a Jewish act.

Steven Jones, Jim Fetzer, Alex Jones, Eric Hufschmid and the others are Jews. They're actually working on the same side as Jewish George Bush and the Jewish media.

Apparently the new definition of the word "Jew" is "person I disagree with". Among the most paranoid of anti-Semites, anyway.

Not only is that twisted logic funny but they have a funny way of distinguishing danger since only like 500 people out of 52 million actually developed Guillain-Barre syndrome.

I've got a live one. It comes from a certain Holocaust-denying 'ralphgordon', who in an especially nice touch has admitted to posting solely from computers in public places, in case Mossad gets him.

... why can't you guys just admit that Hitler was a one-quarter Jew, and so it would have been inconceivable that he would have overseen a "Holocaust" of the Jews. David Icke gives you the facts at http://reactor-core.org/hitler-jew.html Prove that it is wrong or forever be silent! Only those at Stormfront or "exterminationists" seem to get upset at the notion.

This is the Stormfront link is http://www.stormfront.org/forum/showthread.php?t=496584 Unfortunately the computer I am using is blocking my access to Stormfront at present, and proxify can't help, so can someone copy and paste the Stormfront material, although, from past experience, I would assume that they, being the anti-semitic scum they are, would negate the notion that Hitler was part-Jewish.

I should make clear, however, that I consider David Icke's general thesis, about the Illuminati and such, very dubious; but he does present what is apparently valid information concerning the notion of Hitler's being a quarter-Jew. Also, also David Icke is not, apparently, a "Holocaust denier" in the conventional sense, as far as I can tell.
