So let us first celebrate the winner from June and July.
It is interesting that Rolfe asks for more facts. In my opinion facts is just what we don't need, as they are likely to be misleading or simply a distraction.

So now Teh 28th Annual Stundie Award Finals of August!

1) They wanted to make it a better "spectacle" but forgot to put in a laser battle with aliens and babes in space bikinis? NASA blows!
I believe one or more of the moon missions did actually reach the moon. But just to make the whole media spectacle better they made photos & film footage in studios as well.

They then mixed all of this up to make a nice and confusing mess of evidence, for & against the moon missions.

2) When will anti-"tons of TNT" prejudice finally be put behind us? Do we need a march on Washington?
What is needed here, if DEW is to be assessed, is an energy calculation in joules of energy, not once, twice or thrice estimates of potential energy denominated in estimated tons of tnt.
*****
3) Now if anyone other than No Planers were claiming "vaporization of airliners" this would almost begin to be in the general vicinity of sort of making sense.
An essential part of the NPT are those claims that the planes vaporized on impact. Well, suffice it to say that for the planes to have experienced significant vaporization under ideal conditions, they'd have to have flown at mach 15 +. At 500 mph, the energy of impact is barely sufficient to raise the temperature of the metal 56 degrees f. So, we either need a new reason why there was no recoverable debris, or we must assume -- because 100 ton planes cannot simply vanish into thin air -- no planes actually crashed where no debris is present or seen.
*****
4) It's a good thing that a breeze has none of that pesky oxygen stuff in it.
The breeze blowing thru the building would carry away heat.
*****
5) Well, them fancied degreed people think it just might have been chaotic destruction from airliner crashes caused by a well planned operation. But what do they know?
Please look, that is REALLY look at the destruction of the WTC towers and WTC7 whatever your personal "experts" have said about the destruction of these buildings, ignore that for a moment, THINK, what do YOU see ... really now You don't have to be an expert, you don't have to have any degree or anything of the sort.
you just have to THINK, was this a well planned operation, or was this the product of chaotic damage from airliner crashes? What does it look like to YOU!

Kill Your Television!

6) Considering the amount of pure awesome weaponry Tesla supposedly invented why did he not conquer at least this corner of the Milky Way Galaxy? Or did he and we're all brains in jars inside his new Tesladrome being tormented by Hugh Jackman duplicates for giggles?
How ? My speculation is that the USA military using "Magnetic Disruption", a classified ultra secret weapon system originally developed by Nicola Tesla, was used to cause every atom of the steel structure to separate from every other atom. Thus the entire structure just dropped down the way it did. Those free atoms then went blowing in the wind reacting with oxygen along the way. Creating the immense heat in the process. Only this can explain the observed events of 9/11/2001.

7) I guess that Wolf Prize in Physics should have gone to whoever voices the chair. Poor bastard really got screwed.
how can you be sure that steven hawking is saying it? it is possible that the information attributed to him has another source, I seriously believe that the talking chair is a two way radio and anything he is asked is answered by someone else [hence a monotone robotic voice], also most books are written by ghost writers I dont see his as any different and it is the same agenda as rothchilde funded sitchin, realise how easy it is to push an agenda through an innocent victim who cannot defend himself either verbally or physically
*****
8) Nope, we are all brainwashed Sheeple. We would have immediately thought with no cues "hijacked planes did this" had the Twin Towers just spontaneously demolished themselves one morning.
Note that no firemen say outright that there were actual explosives . They say everything BUT that however . The reason for this is that they had all seen the plane crashing into the building and thereby had every reason to assume that to be the cause of the collapse. Therefore they are relectant to make positive atatements of explosives in the Towers . If there had not been any planes I think the firemen would have had no hesitation in making straight-out statements that the building had been explosively demolished.'
*****
9) It appears ordinary toilet paper rolls have changed mightily since I gave them up for the Three Seashells.
eveyday ordinary roll of toilet paper, very good representation of one of the twin towers
*****
10) Yeah, how are we to like know that quantum fluctuation wasn't like at play inside like the entire building man?
Please explain how Conservation of Mass applies to rubble crushing through an intact building.
*****
11) I hate it when it's difficult to prove things I have irrefutable proof of. It's almost like maybe I should use the irrefutable proof or something.
My friend I am very aware Apollo is a very difficult hoax to prove, and that many have tried with cases of varying merit all the way to ludicrously uninformed. However, there are many 'discredited ideas' that turned out to be true.

Such as how WTC happened.

Or going back a bit further, that the Earth rotated around the Sun
You claimed to have irrefutable proof. Now you say it is difficult to prove.

Which is it?
both

I think

12) Failure to use Nolan Ryan in this analogy makes for an instant fail. There's also the fact that clay thrown even at 90 mph does not scale in force to an airliner at 600mph but...I'm mostly mad about the exclusion of Nolan.
Try hurling a ball of modeling clay at a barn door. If you are Mickey Mantle reincarnated you might knock down the door if it is merely propped up. But you will NEVER ever penetrate the door itself. Try it! Another experiment. Replace the lead slug of a 30 caliber round with one of soft aluminum. Fire that round at a steel beam comparable to those at the WTC. Let me know if it ever penetrates the steel! Lotsa luck!
*****
13) Yeah the fact that they ran nothing but Andy Griffith reruns on the day of the event and the weeks following is something that needs to be explained.
This boycott will end on December 30th, 2010 at approximately 12:00AM.

THE RULES:
* DO NOT visit the websites of FOX, CNN, MSNBC, and the BBC
* DO NOT watch the TV channels of these networks
* DO NOT watch videos sponsored by these networks

The ONLY way to END THE BOYCOTT is for FOX, CNN, MSNBC, and the BBC to individually come forward and:
1. Explain their silence over the subject of 9/11.2. Begin fully investigating the unanswered questions of 9/11:
*****
14) Yeah Earth would be totally screwed but the WTC would still be there. That's comforting.
I'm not sure even a moon-sized field or mountain of rubble, dropped from a height of 12 feet would entirely crush the WTC. No. If you had it coming down from a higher height, in a steady stream over a long period of time, we would certainly see some major damage. Total collapse? I'm not sure.
*****
15) Actual "physics" has nothing to do with that mathy stuff you all keep yammering about.
All you folks know is math and you're completely ignorant when it comes to actual "physics" and what is physically real and physically possible.
*****
16) Books? Are they on Youtube?
BOOK: Bomb Squad - A Year Inside the Nation's Most Exclusive Police Unit by Richard Esposito and Ted Gerstein
I've seen that claim before. It didn't fly. Provide the quote and URL please.

17) Well you know fires and falling debris allows demolition companies to do the impossible whilst also being totally invisible. Pretty amazing stuff.
The simplest way to get people to open theirs minds is ask them how many buildings fell on 9/11 the majority of people still believe just the two fell . So you have to show them that’s not the truth, once they realize a 3rd building fell they’ll see it from a whole new perspective.
EXACTLY! That is a very good start! I often ask the sheeple that and they thinking i’m lying when i say that WTC 7 fell on that very same day, and it was an admitted controlled demolition. Strangely, a controlled demolition of that magnitude takes WEEKS and careful preparation and planning, and yet, all this was done in under 6 hours….on the most chaotic day in American history.
*****
18) Well, yeah if you take away all the dead babies and people that died from things we now have technology to prevent the good old days were super awesome for life expectancy.
To the person who said life expectancy is up. That's not true. Old figures included the high infant mortality rates and you also have to figure in the fact that life saving technologies are very advanced in this day and age.
*****
19) Now confidant in the fact that there is no omnipresent downward momentum on anything traveling horizontally I will walk off this very high ledge.
The jet fuel was moving horizontally at several hundred mph. It had to make a 90o turn to fall down an elevator shaft. It would therefore have no downward momentum to begin with.
*****
20) Well, I'll be sure to bring up the legality of corporations with the pilot of the next plane I'm on.
What is your proof that a corporate body is NOT a make believe ship at sea.

I was an airline (ship) captain, so I am quite capable of analyzing the basics of both and making the comparison. What are your qualifications.

So many choices, so much Essential Stupidity.... OK, 2 for being complete gibberish; 4 for general stupidity; 7 for being at least slightly new, but also very stupid; 15 for misapplied arrogance; 16 for applied iliteracy; 19 for sheer unadulterated idiocy and 20 because the newbie deserves a chance.

14, 15 and 16 for me. New and old twoofer names in a marvelous mix of idiocy.

First, can I congratulate Charles on a worthy victory? An absolute landslide against some strong opposition. (His second award, too.)

Rolfe.

2) Was in response to a calculation by me. The rejection of "tons of TNT" is pathetic in itself, but the real stupidity ist the fact that the post he responded to did contain the very number of Joules he insisted upon, down to 4 relevant digits! :D

6) Is awesome believe in woo, untouched by any understanding of the basic physics of solid materials. Ignorance is such bliss!

9) Made me cringe. But hey, I have compared the towers to 6 packs of spaghetti...

10) Uhm - wha...???

11) Takes top honours - CTers often want to have it both ways, but that is The Mother of all Both Ways!

14) Is an incredible disconnect from all reality. Do they think the moon is about the size of a hot air balloon??

15) 350 years of Enlightment and scientific endeavour - wiped out in one simple line of stupid

18) Reminds me of "But apart from the sanitation, the medicine, education, wine, public order, irrigation, roads, the fresh-water system, and public health, what have the Romans ever done for us?" Lovely!

My first favourite is the atom scatterer, but the moon-sized mound of rubble has to be a close second.

Rolfe.

A number of good ones, but #7 was something special: according to which we shouldn't say that Stephen Hawking occupied the Lucasian Chair of Mathematics at Cambridge -- he actually was the chair!

i have to go with 12, mostly because of this: Replace the lead slug of a 30 caliber round with one of soft aluminum.

yes, replace the immensely hard lead with soft soft aluminum and see what happens :D

Insanity of inanity and all is insanity reality is malleable and bends under our thoughts.

18) Reminds me of "But apart from the sanitation, the medicine, education, wine, public order, irrigation, roads, the fresh-water system, and public health, what have the Romans ever done for us?" Lovely!

Yep, that's a winner! I thought the same thing!

I also voted for 9 and 14.

5. Chaos or a well planned operation? What do we need these high-falutin' "experts" for, anyway?

6. Tesla atom scatterizer. So WHY did the USA develop the A-Bomb in WW II?

14. Moon sized rubble mounds are harmless. Wow ... just wow!

20. Air pilots and corporations. FOTLers are always good for a laugh.

An embarassment of riches this month. 4, 10, 14, 16 for me, but they are all great.

My "moon-sized pile of rubble" analogy seems popular. :)

I'm hoping the word "Tesladrome" catches on. And what would we call Tesla's army?
