Atheist Patrick Greene Converts to Christianity

I'm glad to hear this guy converted to christianity. It doesn't say much about christianity when they think that converting an idiot is a good thing.

Patrick Greene may have been an atheist, but if he was convinced by such a lame argument, it doesn't say much about him.

He already deconverted again.

In other words, not really worth writi...

I am now a believer! What was I thinking? Dear God how could I have been so blind?
It all makes so much sense now!

I now have morals and a craving for wholesome family values! God Bless everyone!

Uh. I don't believe anymore. I'm back to denying God. I no longer care about anyone or anything and I once again crave fresh butterfly and puppy dog flesh.

Ho Hum.

OK. Yeah. I'm back to reality. Damn. For a minute there I was reeling with the feeling.

No God. No hope. No joy. I'm getting dizzy.

As a Californian, I should point out that there's generally more money to be made in creating religions than in joining them--although none of the ones I've created has earned a penny. But that's probably because I do it for entertainment, rather than profit.

These enormous differences between us and other critters; what are they?

funny enough, i had a conversation with my soon-to-be brother-in-law, who is some kind of wacky Christian or another, and he suggested that there was a vast difference between humans and other animals. he acquired a befuddled look on his face when i mentioned that dogs seem to know when they've done something wrong about as often as we "higher organisms" do.

if a single atheist converting to christianity is news, then that implies it very rarely happens. Odd, that.

Someone inform Greene that in every biological sense of the word, human beings are "animals". There is no real distinction. Greater intelligence doesn't remove one from the animal kingdom. What a dumb ape he is. ;)

Funny God gave us ape anatomy, made our DNA most closely resemble chimpanzee's, and hid ape fossils that became increasingly human in appearence. What a sense of humor this God has. :eye-poppi

My son was agnostic until he met a Christian girl and became one himself. He's agnostic again, after torturous church outings. Girl is upset - he may dump her.

PS. Did I mention he's sixteen?

Chance predicts we should expect an atheist to convert to Christianity once in a while.

Especially as they get older and are surrounded by lots of loving people who keep reassuring him he's a Good Person for doing this.

There are certain political persuasions that use that same memetic spread mechanism. Which just adds weight to my idea that religion and politics aren't just similar phenomena, but are the exact same phenomenon.
