For example, if a public school allows all other student groups to use school facilities, but refuses to give the Christian students association or other religious group the same privileges (with the same conditions), that's probably a Free Exercise violation. That would be true even if all religious groups (and/or atheist groups) were denied access. I vaguely recall some cases like this, but I'm too lazy to look them up at the moment.

I know that schools are allowed to let Boy Scout groups hold meetings in their buildings, but in the past, schools had been the chartering organization for some Scout troops, and schools can no longer do this, because the Scouts are a religious organization.

XM Radio has pulled the station I usually listen to, Cinemagic (plays movie scores), and given the channel to Holly until January 2, so they can play Christmas songs.

Christ, couldn't they have pre-empted the Praise channel, or Enlighten (the roots of southern gospel) or The Message ("a bright mix of Christian pop hits") instead? Is it because I got snarky with Kurious Kathy?

I'm going to send the humanists sponsoring these bus ads a little something extra in their stockings this year, just to protest Christianity's encroachment on my holiday joy.

I don't listen to those, and wouldn't miss them.

And even though Christmas isn't just for Christians, it's probably more closely associated with Christianity than with movies. Why pick on the channel I do listen to?

I know, they're afraid to pick on Christians. If those guys tune in expecting Awesome God and hear Frosty the Snowman, they'll start howling "They're taking the Christ out of Christmas!" We staid, civilized movie lovers will just sit back and fume our staid, civilized fumes.
