Some (maybe just a few) people there are skeptics, but the culture as a whole, as well as the moderation policy, is antithetical to skepticism.

It's kind of the left-wing counterpart to early objectivism, I guess.
 
I find the slew of comments on Jen McCreight's BlagHag ironic. Don't get me wrong, I don't categorize Jen as someone whose gone off on the banning and block bot bandwagon but the comments here, Covering My Ass, frequently mention condemnation of people silencing their critics. Just a tad hypocritical, me thinks.

I'm putting it in the "wildly irresponsible," "ethically bankrupt" and "vindictive" categories as he's transmitting an allegation...and not even for a sense of justice, just to be seen as the one holding highest torch and bellowing the loudest....because there will never be a way to prove it, even if true.
 
Is anyone other than Ceepolk not a racist, in her opinion?

It's funny to see how harshly she's come down on the OP for the thread title, especially as she posted on the thread without noticing how appalling it was, somehow.

Well, I suppose it was bound to happen. Setar and ceepolk have been screaming "Burn the Witch" at everyone to the point there's no one left, so eventually the only thing either of them had, was to start seeing if one another weighed the same as a duck.

Didn't see it coming down on that subject, to be honest. ceepolk never fails to amaze.

Just going over that thread again and I can't help but notice the bizarre logic going on there.
Apparently Schermer's a scumbag for hiring a lawyer to defend himself against rape allegations.
What's an innocent person supposed to do if they've been falsely accused, in that situation?

I'm not saying that he is innocent, by the way. I have no idea, either way.
