thunderf00t on carriers latest attempt to boost his flagging popularity.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=95LG9crl3yo

he is a "moron"

Additionally, although some might not like Thunderf00ts take on this, it is foolish to say he has flagging popularity when his 'minutes watched' ranking is FAR above anything produced by the Aplussers or FtB

I did the same initial misread you did but if you re-read s pepys post I think they are referring to Carrier's flagging popularity not Thunderfoot.

Adria Richards of "donglegate"

Yes! Ms. "As an advocate for digital equality, my actions today at #pycon made me feel like Joan of Arc, minus the visions," who'd been caught making juvenile dirty jokes herself.

One wonders if she'd have reported and shamed them if they'd been in an underprivileged class.

How is atheism going to make a dent in the real social justice problems, like Islamic sharia law, when we are getting our skivvies all bunched up about coffee invitations*?

Saudi judges have in the past ordered sharia punishments that include tooth extraction, flogging, eye gouging and -- in murder cases -- death, Reuters reported.

* I don't know if this has been mentioned before, but many people hope to get laid at conferences of all types. Really, all types, and it's considered by many as a feature of conferences. I really hate it when feminists and puritanical fundies are bedmates on issues of sexual freedom.

A + Xeism, surely?

Very good joke.

Which feminists are opposing what sexual freedom at conferences?

Atheism = the rejection of a proposition (there is at least one god). What you add to that is up to you.

This has all been hashed over before, don't pretend this is something new.

There is strong support among some of the people in the atheist+/skepchick/FtB group that have stated an interest in not only controlling male/female social interaction at conferences (above and beyond normal acceptable norms) but also after conference hours.

I'm familiar with the discussion about harassment policies at conventions in the context of TAM and other skeptical conferences. I think it's ludicrous to refer to that as "feminists and puritanical fundies are bedmates on issues of sexual freedom."

Given that somebody was actually hitting on RW I'd say that's a safe bet. :p

For all we know, Elevator Guy might have been offering a business proposition, not a sexual proposition (assuming he existed at all). All we have is RW's testimony, which is shown to be, at the very least, exaggerated and self serving.

Quite true Scotty. Remember that bit about RW suddenly claiming she had prosopagnosia while also maintaining she remembered Elevator Guy being in the audience during her speech and later in the bar?

I have a feeling many of the A/S groups may think twice in future before inviting RW to speak. She really does ramble, and I suspect based on her own statements has a drinking problem. And as they say, time wounds all heels. :)
