I saw an mp3 in the opening post so I figured Burch was spamming his garage band's music again.

Unfortunately, my heart and ears belong to the musical styling of Missouri native Upchurch and his patented brand of funk.

I kinda assumed it was a joke, too. Of course, the clip cuts off right at the end of McCain's sentence, so there is no opportunity to hear if it got a laugh or not. The context is completely missing.

Given the file name "mcsame", I also assume it was meant to be anti-McCain, but what is it trying to say? That McCain was bragging about his hotshot piloting skills?

His remarks can be filed under "self-deprecating humor."

Like most Navy pilots, active and former, John McCain is an out of work stand up comedian. :D

I saw it as a positive. Your mileage may vary, of course. Clearly the people who were presenting it thought it was some kind of slam, but he didn't make it into some heroic final mission and clearly he could have because who would have gainsaid him?
