probably because he knows it is not scientific
And they call it astrology because...!!!!!! (That's six exclamation marks. 5 elemental ones and a chi one on the end.)
ah..just to make it simple. Better call it fortune telling![]()
So, woodwater, you don't believe in that crap? Ok. You're just trolling, ok. Buh-bye.
No, thank you. I just assumed that if anybody calls anything "astro"-something, they at least include some space-related nonsense. Correct me if I'm wrong, but that prefix is derived from the latin word for "star".go to his site www.astro-fengshui.com read his fshui articles and see if there is anything scientific there. I doubt.
No you haven't. So tell your readers .. how does astrology really work?ive already replied. Its Chi and Yin and yang theory plus 5 elements. Nothing to do with planets.![]()
In his very first post on the forum he claimed to have done just that. Of course, once ways of actually testing chinese astrology were suggested, the usual sort of evasions began...Can he convince the scientific community? I doubt it. If you are convinced that such crap is real, why haven't you applied for the JREF prize yet?
How IS Bellingham these days, "woodwater"?What a pity. Oregon is my favorite of US states![]()
Oh, crud... the thread title intriqued me.
So if astrology is "logic"... why is that the constellations that make up the "Zodiac" are no longer visible during the time the are noted to be on the calendar? Precession over the last couple of millennia has changed the location relative to the seasons.
Of course, there is this whole bit that those particular constellations are also mostly visible in the Northern Hemisphere... so why would they impact the Southern Hemisphere?
I was born at 10 degrees latitude north. The constellations were visible, but not easily. So why would they influence me?
Why would the person born the same hour and next door to my kid have the same horoscope, yet be a completely different person?
And why would I expect the OP to even understan what "logic" was considering the quality of replies he/she has given in this thread?

astro = star logy = readLook dense cretin, how often do i have to say chinese astrology has nothing to do with stars or constellations
The OP and this entire thread. If your posts are a weak attempt at sarcasm, you've failed to indicate it or correct it.and who said i believed it guys?
This is particularly ironic on a text based medium.Cant you read?
Your thread. Your suggestion that there's something logical coming from your teacher about chinese star reading. Throwing chi/qui into the process doesn't make it any less ridiculous. You would do a better job if you went to astrology Yahoo groups bashing the Masters and believers instead of picking on me,but know, you stay here in your Ivory skeptic tower
feng shui and chinese astrology...unbelievable ********,yet he managed to convince all that feng shui is scientific, based on mathematical formula![]()

I'll start with the easy questions ..
Ask Master Yu to explain the actual mechanism of astrology .. just how does distant astronomical bodies influence us at a distance?
Then ask him why some astronomical bodies do .. and others don't.
Amazing!!! My former teacher of Astrology,Master Joseph Yu of Torobnto, who has a degree in maths, said that he once wanted to prove astrology is superstition, but after doing some charts he concluded that «astrology is logical». He then became a master. No comment!!![]()
